Was sold a Ecu reflashed vehicle Car was sold with a faulty loan as well.2500 $ warranty **** $ gap insurance 500$ loan fee (which was added to principal amount )3k down for 9k vehicle When I drove to the dealership 5 hours and was forced the above fees otherwise my loan wouldnt be approved upon which was investigated with lender the fees were removed. Initial 90 warranty was taken off with the lies stating I now have warranty so it would be as is. The dealership never disclosed in buyers guide the odometer or Ecu was manipulated. Car broke down month later with major electrical issues. Stop leak product was in the coolant the engine has leaks. And the vehicle accelerates by it self When put in gear reverse or drive its very scary. I have certified mechanic that had the findings and does believe odometer reading is incorrect The car was flashed at 20k miles I purchased it 70k. The west and tear in the car in the car indicates a much more usage. Also car was initially from ******* and dealership was in VA. My residence was at the time was PA. The dealership didnt want to register the car in ******* saying I took the loan out with PA address which was another lie. In theory perhaps they didnt it want it back in ******* to avoid findings. It gets better the dealership waited 21 days to do my ****** work and asked another $220 dollars to finish it. I will be filing at the VA court.Business Response

In regards to case number #******** we received on 12/7/2023. Two weeks prior to ************************* inquiry for a 2015 ***** and filling out the credit application online looking for a financial institute to accept his credit application due to his poor credit history we tried multiple banks, and the only bank willing to work with it was CREDIT ACCEPTANCE. In his application he mentioned his permanent residence was ************, which was already documented. After two weeks he came to sign all necessary paperwork for Credit Acceptance, and pay his remaining down payment of $2500 on the ***** He accepted all conditions of his loan, and he agreed to purchase the vehicle. He mislead the bank about his residency because he was already moving to ******* without mentioning this prior to the purchase. **************** test drove this vehicle, and was also informed of the Car Bargain "AS IS" policy that was documented. He than refused at last minute to register his vehicle to ************, because he was already in ************ *******, he stated he wouldn't come back, he is still driving the car, he has a warranty from the bank that he purchased at the time of buying the vehicle.

10/18/2022 date of transaction. I paid Car Bargain $10,000.00 for a 2007 ****** Avalon. As far as I can tell the business gave no warranty. When the car arrived to me on either the 19th or 20th of October 2022 the first thing I saw was the front driver side headlight wasn't working and the passenger front head light was brand new. The next day I gave *** a call and he had me speak to the Manager **** which is also ***'s uncle. **** proceeded to tell me that the non-working headlight was working when it left Car Bargain and that it might just be loose. That was a complete lie!!! I proceeded to look under the hood and I have pictures to prove this and after looking at the whole assembly of the entire light it was cracked and had moisture inside of it the ballast which is attached to the bottom of the light was completely corroded and was not any good. I reached out to **** the manager again with even more issues that I was never told about or lied to when I asked questions to ***. when I spoke to **** about mainly the headlight and all of the other issues wrong with the car (pictures were fabricated, large tear driver seat and was told only on tear in the back passenger seat, radio didn't work, speakers were blown, thousands of scratches, chipped paint in several locations, passenger side mirror was damaged and other issues, I have all pictures from what it looked like online. We spoke on 10/28/2022 I gave him a list of everything and I remember verbatim that **** said he was off on that Saturday the 29th of October 2022 and would gather up some numbers to help fix everything because that's not how he conducts business. Tried calling multiple times but was told he wasn't there but would have him call me. To this day I have been stopped by the law 15 times. The whole light system has to be replaced and it cost $1,300.00. i have pictures showing exposed wires from the battery to the new light to the old light and was shooting sparks. Car was dangerous and they knew it!!Business Response

In regards to BBB Case # ******** - Car Bargain, **********************, we have tried to help out and come to a reasonable conclusion by purchasing the whole new headlight assembly. We have ever since been receiving emails, texts, so on from you about your wanting to kill us, kill the whole family up to the point that we had to take it into law enforcement hands. I am very sorry that you had such a poor experience with us and we tried to execute every possible way to make things better, even for you to bring the car back, you were not willing to work with us. As far as the physical aspect in the car and pictures, they were all 100% accurate, not fabricated at all. We even gave you a very great price with a discount from the listing price of the vehicle. We also told you to take into consideration that we are a used car business, this vehicle was 15 years old at the time of purchase, therefore it was obvious that it would have some cosmetic flaws. Also, we do have a warranty, we sent all of the paperwork to you, and have all necessary signatures from you acknowledging the purchase of the vehicle as is.Initial Complaint

Car was found to have multiple issues. Repairs needed in mechanical and electrical areas. I recently purchased a 2010 **** GT Mustang from Car Bargin. I know it's a used car and you never know what your fully getting. But, this used car dealership is in the wrong badly. And I worry for them to do this to someone else and they get hurt or worst because of Car Bargin. They obviously just slapped on stickers on the car I purchased because it was no where near safe to be driving and I drove 5 hours to buy it. I had to put it in the shop because the transmission went out. Thank God I did because what else was wrong with the car could of killed me easily. There was 15 different things wrong with the safety of even driving the car. The sway bars where broke and tie rods where also snapped. And if you know anything about cars you know they could of completely broken off and maybe caused a fatal accident.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
That resolution doesn't solve any thing at all. Not keeping them from selling illegal unsafe vehicles for people to drive and stay alive. It also, does not pay for all the out of pocket costs to fix all 15 safety issues that the car had. When I purchased it with a legal inspection sticker.
Regards,
