Then late in June I was getting the machine ready for my grand-daughter, when it obviously had big problems. The repair shop had not indicated there was a missing part, which is the all important bobbin casing. Additionally the stitch selection dial was stuck on the "button hole" setting.
When I took this machine back to the [same] repair shop...The lady at the counter gave me a statement that the charge was non-refundable. "Because we spent an hour and a half 'servicing' it." Then she said, "The machine is plastic and could not be completely taken apart, so we could not oil everything." "These old machines wear out and we can not get parts to repair them." "We could credit you *** toward a purchase of a new sewing machine."
My biggest complaint is if they use the excuse that it's old , not able to take it apart , can't buy parts, etc. - then this should have been discussed before working on it and charging us. Also why tell us it is "good to go" when it is missing a part ?
We will be seeking to get the ****** back.
