  Filed for four years (had to mail 2019 so they returned it after looking over it). They made a mistake on two of the other three years then tried to blame me. It was their mistake and now I have to pay someone else to fix it. Rude. Condescending and unprofessional. I paid ****** to do uncomplicated taxes. Owner did not respond only manager who insisted it was my mistake which it was not.

  Had my previous year's 2021 taxes done on Feb. 27th, after over a week and the *** and NY State not having any record of them, I called to check this past Wednesday. They are apparently in a queue waiting for the compliance department to do their check and send. Here we are today Saturday MARCH 11, and they still have not been reviewed and no answer as to when as the compliance department hasn't responded. I paid $*** to have them done, I should have used that money to go somewhere else and paid less. The reason I didn't is because the woman who actually did my taxes was excellent, this wasn't on her. I just called again before posting this and they are still sitting in compliance purgatory.

  Liberty tax is horrible. We filed our taxes for last year. They didn't even tell us the price they were going to charge. The preparer didn't even know what she was doing. Please don't go there you will get ripped off. Oh and they took the fees out of the state tax. They didn't even tell us they were.

  I wouldn't even rate one star for liberty tax,I went in person and had my taxes done in Hobart IN (Ardele ******** "tax teacher")charging me almost 4x's the amount of what I'm use to paying,2months later come to find out because of her error and put incorrect information ...my return got rejected and I paid out of pocket that they won't refund me for improperly filing my taxes. I refused to have her refile them and wanted the money I spent for my taxes to be done and bc of her ERROR...and trying to tell me she won't refund me the money because she didn't get paid on filing my taxes when she didn't do it right the first place ! Liberty tax will also make you pay back the refurral discount ,they give you,ontop of what I spent and in the end ...my taxes still aren't filed and I spent the money to have them done,they are the worst place to get any services from !!!! Liberty tax says... we won't give you a refund on money to have services done when the service was never completed properly by their employees and Now I'm out the money I spent and my taxes never got filed properly 2 months later!!!!

  I filed with Liberty Tax in Clifton NJ. They have done so many mistakes. They filed incorrectly and late. Also it's really hard almost impossible to get through them. As a result, the *** is charging us for late fees and interest. My wife hasn't received a refund back from the Federal or State and every time I call them, they are busy, they are on PTO, they are on training and nothing gets done.
  
  The owner even mentioned once that she could have been at a pool drinking margaritas on a Friday but instead she had to be on the phone calling the *** on my behalf. (Really unprofessional).
  
  It it really frustrating but through this process I noticed that they had a lack of understanding on personal taxes, business taxes and they filed without understanding some of the regulations. And if you have stocks stay away from them. At this point we've paid so many fees to the **** I keep calling them and emailing them but at this point Liberty Tax nor the owner have not gotten back to us with a resolution. If anyone is readying this, please stay away from Liberty Tax in Clifton NJ. I have had so many headaches with their team and at this point I feel lost.
  
  I'm addition I had to pay for filling jointly and after they realized a mistake they made we had to pay again filling separately.
  
  The government should really look into this business malpractice. At this point we don't know what else to do. We just need them to do their job.
