Steve’s Towing, Inc. was first brought to the attention of this Better Business Bureau on August 17, 2023. This investigation was prompted by a Justice Department press release stating that they had brought and then resolved a lawsuit against Steve’s Towing, Inc. for illegally towing then auctioning off of service members’ vehicles.
Steve’s Towing, Inc has agreed to pay $90,000 to settle a complaint that alleged that the company violated the Service members Civil Relief Act (SCRA) by failing to obtain court orders before auctioning off vehicles belonging to at least seven SCRA-protected service members
