    I booked a reservation for a cabin on 10/10/23. I noticed the price seemed "too real to be true", so I callled Lydia Mountain and spoke with ******* and asked her if the price was correct. She agreed it did not seem right and said she would reach out to the owner to verify. She got back in touch with me and said she was unable to get in touch with the owner so Lydia Mountain would have to honor the price, being it was advertised on there website. I put my 10% deposit down $ ***** for the 3 night reservation. She explained the balance is due 7 days prior to arrival. I received and email on 11/1 requesting the balance due. However, the balance due was alot more than the the reservation i booked. The young lady, ****** explained to me that there was issues with there website at the time and they could not honor the price that i had booked it for. This is 8 days before me and husband were due to take our trip. I asked to speak with management and I was forwarded to **** " the manager" and I must say she was the absolute rudest person i have spoken with that is supposed to represent an establishment such as Lydia Mountain. She told me they are not willing to give me the price i booked for and offered to move us to another "cheaper" cabin. I do not believe **** has any experience in customer service much less ************************* pertaining to the advertising of prices and not honoring them. I do realize this was a glitch in the system but that was not our issue. They could have called once this was realized but they waited to send an email when everything is booked during peak season. My husband spoke with several people ( ******* and ******) and it was agreed that the company should honor the pricing advertised. He called and spoke with ****, she hung up on him. We want an apology and what we will pay elsewhere for a rental in an entire different area, that will be further and more costly.I have attached the 2 reservations ( the same reservation number with same dates, yet different amounts).

    I contacted the Lodge by email regarding rooms that were on a first floor level and asked if they had those. I also asked if they had a mountain stream on their property. I never received a straight forward answer to either question. I received one email and it asked if I wanted to book a room. That was the only reply I received. In view of the way they operate a business I would avoid this business. They either dont understand English or they are too stupid to answer a ************************ question. If you are going to make a reservation at a location you are not familiar with, it is customary to ask questions about the facility, especially if you are elderly. If I am going to spend a thousand dollars for my stay there, I should be able to get simple questions answered. I wanted to ask about stairs and if they had them, ask about the dining room and how difficult it was to reach. I had no opportunity to ask inquisitive questions. For this reason and their failure to respond to several simple questions, I decided to stay elsewhere. I would not stay at this poorly managed facility.
