eally tried to give you all the benefit of the doubt. When I moved from the Abbey to the Devon after living at the Abbeys for 5 years. Then on year 6 I moved into a unit at the Devon’s that wasn’t even move in ready. Carpets not clean nor replaced, not painted, not cleaned, horrible odor in the apartment of curry and body odor. Was told by the main maintenance man that he hopes the smell will go away after new carpets are installed but it didn’t. Spent hundreds of dollars while living there to get rid of the smell. But had no luck as I was just masking the odor. Couldn’t shut any closet doors because our clothes would smell like it. The washer machine smells like rotten eggs and they do not care. Birds live in the dryer vents causes a fire hazard and dead birds and bird poop to be smelling through the dryer, dead mice under dishwasher, They will come into your unit and say they don’t smell it the washer machine and dryer but when I leave now y’all smell something?! Couldn’t turn the bathroom vents on because the smell of curry and body odor was so strong. Water smells like sewage. Toilets constantly running. When I moved out they want to charge me a $300 special equipment fee for the odor. Why wasn’t this an option when we moved into the unit to help with the smell? You all are going to hold me accountable for an odor that I didn’t create? Then when I went to the on-site management office no one can describe the odor that I’m being charged for. They are crooks! My 1st gas bill was over $300 and the gas company had a already scheduled visit for the fireplace??? Like why am I being charged $300 when I JUST moved in on 9/8 and haven’t even turned the heat on!!! Then they want to charge me $113 for water??? Is there a leak??? Because I have never heard of an apartment water bill being $113. A/C unit broke twice A/C unit constantly running making my bill so high!! Their turnover rate for employees is ridiculous their incompetence is beyond ridiculous.
