I paid $100 non refundable deposit and $100 at arrival to my appointment. The tattoo artist was 30 minutes late and appeared under the influence of drugs when he arrived. As a nurse, his comprehension and reaction time seemed inappropriate, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. After 2 hours his attempts were no closer to an acceptable size and design that would be permanent on my body. The office manager apologize several times as I waited. After multiple requests for it to be scaled down I finally requested a refund since I no longer felt comfortable being tattooed, I was refused a refund. Since they only took cash I could not request a credit card stop payment. My choices were to leave with no tattoo, no money, call the owner Monday or have someone else do it. I waited another 2 hours for someone else to print the stencil to tattoo me with. Multiple attempts to print it in the correct direction and the correct size. I had to request 2x times for the third component of the tattoo to be placed to make sure it flowed. It did not seem to flow and was never placed because at this point the frustrations were high on both sides. I was told they could not do what I wanted and I had to call Monday to talk to the owner. I requested a refund again which I was denied. After saying that I had showed up for my appointment, the tattoo artist was late and high that I had been patient and understanding I was only given $100 back because they said the deposit was non refundable. I hope that this complaint will prevent anybody else from being pressured into getting work that is permanent if it is not what they are seeking or if what they are seeking is not doable. I also hope the business will do the right thing the next time if any customers says I am not comfortable being tattooed any longer. I have 18 tattoos and have never experienced such poor customer service or ever felt pressured to lose money or permanently ink my body with a stencil that is not what I want.
