If I could give this place a zero star I would. I wish I checked their reviews online prior to taking my car there. It's insane the amount of people this company has taken advantage of. I visited the Jiffy Lube ** *** ** ********* for a state inspection. My car failed the inspection because I needed brake pads. This is totally true. I chose to a mechanic who is also a close friend to have the brake pads changed. When my friend tried to change the pads, he noticed that one of the nuts was so tight on the tire that he couldn't take it off. I went back to the Jiffy Lube to have them loosen the nut because they had over tightened it in the first place. Guess what? They refused because they were upset that we did not allow them to fix the brakes. So I went to another auto repair shop and did two things for me. First, they loosened the nut, free of charge. Second, they make it clear that Jiffy Lube is the last place I want to take my car. Great advice. After I had new brake pads I returned to the store for them to reassess for the inspection. Although the webpage and sign on the door indicate that they are open until 5pm, I miss the inspector because "He went home early because he had nothing to do." I return for the second time. Guess what? The inspector refused to reassess when I arrived at 4:40pm because it's too late. At this point I am fuming and quite nervous because the second visit was the LAST chance before the failed inspection sticker expires. I can't go anywhere else for a reassessment because of the state guidelines. So, I returned the very next day again. I arrived at 9:30am, waited for 2 hours, and was rechecked. I passed! Only problem is that they charged me a $20 fee for the expired inspection sticker. What the ****?? How in the world and I responsible for this fee when I did everything possible to get it done? "Nothing we can do sir. It's the law." Is the excuse I got from an attendant. Even after I told them that I was going to file a complaint, "I agree with you but there is nothing I can do." I say, take responsibility and flip the bill yourself since you are the reason for the lapse in dates.

Chelsey, we apologize the service you received was not the desired outcome you expected. Our Virginia State Inspector is licensed and would not have allowed your vehicle to leave the bay with a loose lug nut as part of the vehicle inspection process. Under normal driving conditions your car would be unsafe, the inspectors license would be on the line, different from the gas station that loosened it for you referred by you in your Google review. The state of Virginia allows 15 days for failed inspections to re inspect and we advise phone communication should anyone get to those last days. Best
