On 06/07/22 HCE plumbing contractor ( insured by Kinsale Insurance Company) had recently performed work on a vacant lease space being renovated on the second floor above **************** restaurant located at ************************************ . A poorly sealed cap by the contractor on the end of a water supply line caused tremendous flooding closing the restaurant immediately and forced *******'s to remain closed for 6/8 and 6/9 during water removal and repairs to electrical systems. Kinsale Insurance claim # ***** has offered 56k for *******'s lost sales, product loss, damages and restoration of our space on our estimate of over 125k in damages. The examiner has stated that our contractors restoration estimates needed more detail which has been provided. *******'s has submitted three different contractors estimates for restoration and has agreed to settle for the least expensive of the provided estimates dropping our request to 81k to settle in full. I have made multiple request to our claims examiner *************************** to have our file transferred to a supervisor at Kinsale for review and have been denied. Kinsale Insurance has requested tremendous documentation all delivered and still continues to delay settlement with an unreasonable offer. Our contractor estimates are attached and copies of email correspondence and additional sales information/ receipts are available if needed.
