    In April I registered by 12 year old daughter for hip hop dance classes at Regency Dance Academy for the summer session, as it was recommended by her prior dance school, Arts in Motion, that is no longer in operation. In the first class my 12 year old was in class with students much younger, and we called to try and cancel after it based on that fact. She tried two more classes but it was not a good fit, as the class was forced to do 50 sit **** which seems unreasonable. I called twice and left voice messages at Regency Dance, with no call back. On my third call someone answered and said they would speak with the owner about us cancelling, but that tuition was typically not refundable. I have not received a call back to date. We paid $99 on 4/28, and attend three worthless classes. While I feel a full refund is warranted, at least pro-rata or most of the $99 should at least be refunded.

    My office manager took the call from the customer and she did inform me that they wanted a refund because they felt the 50 sit-ups were excessive. Cardio and strength exercises are a part of the training that occurs at Regency Dance Academy. Having strength is crucial for injury prevention. They paid a non-refundable $20 registration fee and $79 (the first of 2 payments) for 3.5 classes (7 classes total) A typical drop in rate for any class is $25 and since they attended 3 classes we are happy to refund the $4. It clearly states on our website under policies as well as our waiver that tuition is not refundable. We all did try to find a better class for the student but it seemed we just werent the right fit.
