    I got hit by a deer. The first week of July. I took my ford ranger to get an estimate to this business because it was a small local business and I wanted to give a small business some business. When I went the owner wasn’t there but the man there said the.owners wife was there and she would talk to me he got her and I told her I had been hit by a deer on 220 and I wanted to get my bumper drivers side fixed also it had knocked my fog light out and broke it. And I wanted to get both fixed because of inspection didn’t know if that was checked she gave me an estimate of 300 hundred dollars and I told her I would come back later when her husband was there and talk to him. I went back that evening and he said she had told him the price she told me. I made arrangements when to take it back the next week I got a rental car and left it when we arranged to leave it. I hadn’t been gone 2hours and I received a call that it was ready I called my friend and she said that’s mighty quick and we went that even to pick it up. In 2days. I had to take it back because the fender had came loose and he told me to come back on Tuesday and he would fix it when I went back he took a tube of caulking and put some of that in the place between fender and bumper put some brown tape and said that should help leave the tape on a couple of days so it would dry. Last week I took my little foster friend to the Saturday matinee and he was looking at the front and I noticed the fog light was gone. It had been glued or something because you can see where it looks like glue dried on the plastic me and my friend took it back Friday and he got an attitude when we told him I paid him to fix my truck and he didn’t and I had been back 3times and I wanted it fixed right. He said he would get a new fog light and call me this past Tuesday and he would swallow the light and fix it. Have not heard anything from him. Tired of going back

    Customer came to us for an estimate to repair the deer hit on the left hand side of the vehicle. She was given an estimate for $1,400.00 to repair the vehicle correctly. The customer then stated that it was to much money and that she did not want to fix anything right away and asked how much it would cost if we just "patch" to pass inspection, I let her know that we could "patch" vehicle for $300.00 and that would not include any new parts. The customer stated that she would bring the vehicle back later when owner was back at the shop. This is the second time customer has come to the shop requesting estimate and asking for below standard repairs due to the amount of money required to do a quality repair. We did advise customer that the repair was not guaranteed because she requested a sub-standard repair.

    She was priced $1400 to fix the car correctly but she turned that down.  She wanted a bandaid repair for $300.   I told her the mounts for the fog light assembly were broken and said she didn't have the money for the parts.   So we did what we could to get the fog light back in.  Told her I didn't know how long it would last and there is not guarantee on this or warranty.   I will not give her a refund.

    I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Hello I am rejecting the business owner response because he has not done as he said when we went back over to his business after making an appointment with him for him to look at the fog light he told me and my friend that I took with me that he would get the fog light and fix it and he would call me when he got it in and we would be straight on it and he HAS NOT done what he said or what he was paid to do I didn’t ask for shabby work I told his wife or whoever the lady was when I went over there the first time I wanted my fog light and the bumper fixed and later when I got the money I would fix the rest I also told him the same thing when I talked to him. I was told by several people  that he had done several people the same way he has done me and that he is not reliable and does sorry work.  And you are crazy to go to him go anywhere else is better But they didn’t know to tell me before I went there he is a bad business man All I want is what he said he was going to do fix the fog light.  I guess I will have to go to the next step if he doesn’t want to do what is right ******** ********
