My husband and I had a brand new home built with RCI Builders. We closed on the home on Feb. 16, 2022, in which we paid over $350,000. Prior to closing we noticed that the kitchen ceiling had a lot of imperfections. We pointed this out and was told that the issue would be taken care of. For months RCI has sent contractors to do patch work instead of fixing the issues the correct way. They have even taken down our light fixtures because they want us to believe that the ceiling will look different with different light fixtures. Light fixtures will not correct the waves and humps in our ceiling. It's been almost 2 months since they removed our light fixtures and haven't been back to even replace those. There were imperfections with our front porch flooring. A worker with RCI came out and tried to clean the porch with a cleaning product, instead of testing on a small area, it completely ruin the coloration of the porch, walking pad and stones. A product was used to cover the discoloration, this was a fail. Our porch look awful. Finally the front door has been repainted several times, and still looks awful. These issues were addressed in our walkthrough and was told that everything will be repaired. Months go by without any communication from RCI. We have been more than patient and fair with RCI Builders. Two years of being patient and fair. Something must be done soon. My husband has missed unpaid days of work in these last two years because he would stay home to wait for RCI contractors with the hope of having these repairs completed the correct way, but to no avail. We are still waiting to have the kitchen ceiling, porch, stones and front door repaired the way they should be instead of always receiving patch work because RCI does not want to repair these issues the correct way. We feel that they are only trying to do what's cost efficient for them, which is very unfair as we've spent our hard earn money on this home. Awful experience. More pics available if needed.
