    Weve been promised a repair to our awning, which is under warranty. Weve contacted the seller/vendor over 30 times since October, 2024. Occasionally well receive a response, but they will not set up a schedule to complete the service, despite promises to do so. Although the item is under warranty, **** offered to pay labor costs for the repair person if necessary.

    We're writing to provide an update on the repair of Suna Lee's window awning which lost its motor function.


    We have received the new motor, which is covered under warranty. However, upon inspection at Lee's property, our installer discovered that the awning's brackets have come loose from the studs above the window. This repair is more extensive than initially anticipated and will require the awning to be taken down so that the attachment points behind the vinyl siding can be modified. He was not able to complete the repair at the day of inspection because he did not have the materials at hand. This work is covered by your installation warranty and is estimated to take most of a workday to complete.


    Unfortunately, our installer recently experienced a personal health issue that temporarily impacted his ability to work and climb a ladder. He is now recovering and gradually returning to his busy schedule. We plan to reschedule the awning repair in the next few weeks and will contact Suna Lee to arrange a new appointment. Wet weather and our installers' recent poor health set us back this year.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Quite simply, we are seeking an actual repair a firm plan and date when the work will be completed. Mr. ********** response to BBB is merely a continuation of the promise to do the work without actually doing the work.  This issue has been going on since October 2024, now it has been 9 months!  On March 11, 2025, they said a minimum of 2 wks. to order the necessary parts. How about a plan with actual dates?  Weve reached out to Patio Shades Awnings 30+ times with no response.  When will we have an actual schedule?  I was in business for over 40 years, long enough to know that business operations dont cease because of an individuals unavailability. We will be happy to let BBB and everyone else know once the awning is fixed and working.
