I wasn't told about a non-refundable policy if the oil tank couldn't hold the oil before purchasing it. I paid for 2 separate deliveries of 100 gallons each (275 gallon tank) not knowing it was full from their first delivery. After the second delivery ($319), I was told it could only hold 14 gallons and it was not going to be credited back to me at all. We called to try to resolve it and that's when the policy was read to us after the fact with no remorse from them. They said they were basically tired of talking to us and was going to hang up. The amount I lost was around $274 or so. I wanted it to be credited for a future delivery or a refund. Thank you.Business response

All oil companies have a minimum gallon delivery and DeShazo oil's is 100 gallons. This is posted in our office along with the current price per gallon. If our truck goes to deliver an order and the tank does not hold a 100 gallons the customer is still billed for 100 gallons. If a customer prepays for more than 100 gallons and does not hold what was paid for,but holds at least 100 gallons, the customer is refunded the amount not held. For example, an order for 150 gallons was prepaid,but the tank only held 134.4 gallons so that customer is refunded the 15.6 gallons in cash or can wait and apply it to a future 100 gal delivery. It is up to the customer to determine whether their tank can hold 100 gallons. We offer free tank charts, sell measuring sticks and answer questions every day from customers who are trying to determine if their tank will hold 100 gallons. If this customern had told us that 100 gallons had recently been delivered and did we think she could hold another 100 gallons we could have prevented this unfortunate situation by telling her that she should wait and not order yet. This customer never asked what if tank doesn't hold the minimum delivery of 100 gallons. I don't know of any oil company that would deliver 14 gallons -which is what this customer's tank held.
