First of all I paid 500.00 for services and don’t really have complaints there. For a strange reason they called and said they were doing something to their Equipment and were going to refund my money. I really didn’t get a clear explanation of the reason why but the thing I am concerned about is they wanted access to my bank account to return my money which I didn’t ask for but was approached by them. They would not send a check of upload my credit card only my bank account access. When I wouldn’t give that access they just said I wouldn’t receive the refund. I hope you will check into this as it was either a scam or was very deceiving on their part. Hopefully they haven’t dropped to this level. Thank you *****Business Response

On Dec. 23, 2022 I paid Instafixus LLC $767.13 for a Firewall and a 3-year subscription to repair an email system that had been hacked and to protect my system from future attacks for 3 years; however, on Jan. 20, 2023, my nephew ******************* (AKA *******************) received a fraudulent email from ****************** which is my email. ******** posing as me, his uncle, instructed him to send $1,000 in ***** ****** cards to a woman who was suffering from Stage 4 lung cancer (there were other tragic elements added) and the assurance that I would reimburse the $1,000 after I returned home. When he responded by clicking on ***********************, he then received a message with the fraudulent message and instructions from the fake email **************. Two days later he tried to cancel the ***** ****** cards but failed. The scammers immediately redeemed the $1,000 cash value.Business Response

The owner of this business phished me by sending an email saying I had a computer virus, remotely took control of my computer and then fixed my computer and installing a security system. Who knows what he really did. My daughter in law enlightened me that this was a scam and I asked him to cancel it and challenged the charges on my card.Business Response

On 11/17/2022 I was having computer problems. I found the subject company on and contacted them. After a lengthy time working with them online my problem was corrected. They then offered me a three-year service contract for $599.99, which I accepted. I provided them with credit card information, it was confirmed, and my card was billed. I received a copy of that contract by email. I received a phone call today from a man named "***" stating the company was going out of business and I would be getting a refund. However, he insisted that could not be done until I went on my computer to confirm security. I asked why they could not just credit my card or send me a check. He still insisted I go on my computer, which I did not do. I was becoming suspicious. He would not deal with me any further and hung up. On 29 Jan 2023 I contacted a company called INSTAFIXUS. They said I had several viruses on my computer and they said they could fix this. My main problem was my E-mail was shut down. They said they fixed the viruses and my E-mail. I had no way to check if my viruses were fixed, but my E-mail is all screwed up. I called INSTAFIXUS on 30 Jan 2023 and complained about my E-mail, they could not fix my E-mail and said they would refund my $399.99, but still have heard nothing from them. I called ***, my cable company on 30 Jan 2023, after all this, and had them fix my screwed-up computer. *** did fix my computer and informed me that INSTAFIXUS was probably a fraud company. My computer is now up and running properly thanks to ***. Still waiting for INSTAFIXUS to refund my money. I strongly believe that INSTAFIXUS is a fraudulent company. When I told them that I was going to call the BBB, they got very upset and tried to talk me out of it. INSTAFIXUS **** ********** *** ******** Manassas, VA *******Business Response

Date: 1/17/2023 Amount paid: 299.99 I called this company to assist me with a computer problem. The representee asked to give him remote access to my computer to fix the issue. He never advised me of the cost, told me after the computer was fixed that it would be $299.99. I paid this fee with my credit card. Within 2 hours, I started getting notifications from my back that someone was trying to change my password and access my account remotely. I notified my bank the following day and reported everything to the fraud department. I had to close all of my accounts and credit cards and am still dealing with this situation several days later. I want this investigated and want my money back,Business Response

December 2022 I clicked the link for Instafixllc. DUMB me! I can not get a hold of them. They charged me 250. for three years, to help and fix computer problems They promised to fix problems and answer questions. How, when you can not contact them. I put a hold on my credit card. I am hoping that is enough, but if it isn't, I thought I'd fill this out.Business Response

On 12/16/20222 my 86 year old dad paid $800.00 to this company for cyber help under suspicious circumstances. We believe our dad mistakenly clicked on a link and had a conversation with this company for some sort of IT service. The irony is my brother and I both are IT professionals and our Dad doesn't need this company's help. We called to get a full rebate on 1/11/2023 as it seems like this company is a scam artist or at the very least taking advantage of elderly people. Instatfixus created a temporary email account with our Dad and then they created a custom check for the $800 (since our Dad wasn't able to use his credit card it seems) of subscription service for three years. The creation of the online check seems possibly like bank wire fraud and we're about to reach out to a lawyer and the state of Massachusetts to see if we have a case as the company refused a full refund and were VERY rude on the phone. Before we file a complaint, we request the company return the full amount as the business has for many other people via this forum In the last year.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because the business sent the echeck to the "fake" email account they setup with my father when scamming him out of the $800.00. Hello,
It has been almost three weeks since the last messages and I want to resolve this case. The (fraudulent) business wants my email address/contact info so I can receive the $800 for my parents but I also want to discuss the fraud this company engineered on my dad between the online check, temporary fake email account (Which they sent the 800$ too), and rude support. There are ample examples only our site of people accusing them of basic fraud and separately their business should be reviewed for aggressively going after seniors.
They can use this email to send the rebate too - ********************. My Dads email is ****************.
