      I am 73 years old. I selected the couch and recliner I wanted. I was told about the 5 year warranty, but when i asked about the cost, the sales person said it would not make a difference in my amount I had to pay back. When I was told they could not finance my furniture, I bought the recliner with cash. I was not given my sales receipt until after the sales woman suggested my using *********** *********. When I finally got my receipts, I was charged $95.00 for the 5 year plan and $119.00 for delivery. Then when I got the couch receipt, I was charged $195.00 for the 5 year plan, and my $1200.00 couch was changed to over $3000.00. I looked and the interest rate was over $1800.00. If I had been told about how much these charges were going to be, I would not have bought the 5 year plan. If I had know that my $1200.00 couch was going to cost me over $3000.00, I would have waited to buy the couch. No one told me of the extra amounts I would have to pay. When I talked to the manager of the store and told him that I should have been told before I enrolled in the program. His comments to me was, " have a nice day." It was offensive to me. I am 73 years old on a fixed income. If I cannot come up with $1500.00 by my 90 day period to pay off my couch, then I will have to pay over $3000.00. My $700.00 recliner ended up.costing me $980.00. I am complaining because I feel I should have been given this information before they charged me so much money, and saying to me to have a good day was an insult to me. I feel they are guilty of Elder Abuse, and they are not taking responsibility for overcharging me without telling me first. I would have gone somewhere cheaper if they had. I will never shop there again.

On April 1, 2024, you purchased a recliner in cash and financed the sofa through *********** *******. The office staff went over both sales to make sure you were aware all the costs involved, which included FCP and one delivery charge. Our records show you signed the *********** contract, agreeing to the terms, payment and down payment. We also have signed delivery tickets that outlined the costs of each sale. The store manager called to discuss your concerns and suggested ways to shorten your terms if were unable to meet them, but you expressed that you were not satisfied with the options *********** gave you. We apologize for any frustration this caused, however, the documents provided to you at the point of sale were clear with regard to your responsibilities as the account holder.       Repeated Confirmation and Clarification of Delivery ON 2-20-24 for $6K of furniture During Buy date of 2-7-24! Idiot has the Delivery Date of 12-25-2024???!!! Schewels WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR $60.00 Rent and Expenses Going FORWARD!!! ??????

      Schewels Customer Service is rated negative zero. Reclining sofa broke in December, 2023. Reported the problem to Store in *********** **. Were told to expect repairmen on Feb. 8 between 4 p.m. and 8. No show, no call. Reported the unkept appointment on February 9th. Received a call on February 12th, they had the part to fix my sofa and someone would be out to fix it on March 2 between the hours of noon and 4 p.m. When I asked why no one showed up on February 8th I was told she had no idea. She claimed to be in charge then went to her job was just to report appointments. The caller ID showed a person's name. That was not the name she gave me. Poor way to conduct business.

      Purchased in 2020. Couch stopped reclining during the first year. Didn't buy the warranty and customer service said the couch was discontinued and that they could not recommend a repair company. I will never buy from schewels again.

      Bait and switch tactics. I ordered 2 couches and only received one. The one delivered wasn't what I ordered. They said they don't even sell the ones ordered so they sent one that wasn't ordered. Claims website was wrong.. Was suppose to get 2 Serta Upholstery by ****** ********* instead got some off brand. What I ordered is still being sold online but instead I got an off brand. I shouldve been contacted and told what was going on instead of them trying to slide this by me.

      I would rate them 0 if I could. I purchased a recliner and after a few months I started itching. There was something coming from inside the recliner. Some times it looked like a thin piece of wood and other times it was a flake of white stuff. Went to the store for help and offered to buy another one for a discount. This was not a warranty problem it is defective. Sent their flunky to look at it and he told me it was lint.. I had pieces of a lint roller that had brown spots on it. I called corporate and they did nothing but blow me off. I was going to sue them in small claims court but had just been diagnosed with kidney cancer and couldn’t take the stress. Put a quilted cover on it and it’s still itching me. They are so friendly and nice when you purchase but absolutely no service. I will never purchase anything from them again

      We got ripped off. They had a bogo sale and the way the order was written there was no bogo on the recliners we bought. The salesman was not very honest, you could tell he was just worried about the sale. When we paid for the furniture which was 2 recliners and a sofa when we asked about the sale the man doing our paperwork played dumb. So we ended up paying for 2 recliners when we should have just paid for 1 because of the bogo. If we do go back there to purchase anything else we'll be more careful next time.

      I have contacted Corporate They are saying that they are not going to replace my Furniture They fixed it back with Staples that pops out and stick it in my Kids feet They're not honoring their policy. If they can't fix it, they will replace it. I have to block my number to call them because they will not return my phone calls. I asked them To take the furniture back, I no longer wanted it. They said it would be a repo on my credit. Never will I gain by anything from schewels If I could show you the pictures of the furniture I would.

      Thank you for taking the time to share your review. Typically, we are able to replace furniture under warranty that cannot be repaired. However, since the type of damage done to your sectional was not covered under warranty, it prevented us from being able to go this route. As a courtesy, the store repaired the damage at no cost and attempted to give the sectional back. Since the delivery was refused, the sectional was taken back to the store. We apologize that we were unable to meet your expectations with regard to the repairs. The sectional is still in the store’s possession and can be brought back to you to avoid your account from being negatively impacted. Again, thank you for feedback.

      I would never go to the store in ************ **. The credit lady is the most disrespectful and rude person in the world. The furniture breaks within a month of having it. My kitchen table chairs are splitting down the sides and are falling apart. The recliner sofa and love seat are falling apart and will only recline through great force and the same to get it to go back up. I have had the furniture for maybe a year at most and has been falling apart since 1 month after i got it. I would have returned but last time i did this they still tried to charge me for a kitchen table i had returned. They kept it on my credit and put me down for non payment, which almost caused me to not get a mortage for my house due to non payments of a loan. It took a lot of fighting, phone calls, and time spent inside the store to finally get it fixed. If you are 1 day late they lock you out of your account so you have to call in to pay. They then have some different amount they want you to pay than what your actual amount is. When you question the amount the women there get loud and act like it is their furniture and you owe them personally for it. They have drug addicts employed as the delivery drivers and they expect you to let them in your home. I don't want addicts in my home to scope out what I have and come back later. All in all terrible furniture that breaks

      I bought a electric recliner couch and loveseat with a warranty. The couch had got a stain on it and the when you raise the recliner a weird noise started. I called the store and they gave me another number to call, which they didn’t tell me when I bought the furniture. I called and they supposedly sent out a sofa arm for me to replace.. really… after no call back or getting arm piece. I ask that the sofa be replaced..they did and now this sofa wood on the back part is coming through the material and no one sits on this piece.. mind you this is a recliner and they want to replace the material and says nothing about wood chipping. I’ve spent my last dollar and time at this store… I will also tell my family and friends don’t buy there anymore…management has no customer relationship skills… no call backs at all.. this is not going away… Schewels commercial is a fraud..
