The company suggested that I clear my browser and history to get rid of their messages. I dont want to do that! I have things there that I want to keep! Why should I have to inconvenience myself to fix their issue. I am still getting regular messages from them.

I ordered a garage from then to be built on site , that has two roll up doors. They only installed one of the doors, said the other was defective, and had to bring back another door in 1 week, 2 weeks tops. When 2 weeks past and they didnt show up , I called them and I was told that sorry, I had to wait until until they were back in my area to install it. Its now April, no door, every time I call or email them I get a new excuse. *** threatened them with legal action but it has not made any difference. So Im filing this complaint hoping it will make a difference.

We were advised by the builder that your structure was complete as of last week. I do sincerely apologize that they provided us incorrect information!

When their company opens tomorrow morning I will reach out to them to check in on this and email you directly with any updates.

    Sincerely,

The ** carport that I ordered in October 2024 and installed on 26 November 2024 was blown over by an average Texas thunderstorm, damaging my truck. Their website states that their buildings can withstand winds up to 150 mph, they cannot. They advertise they have a one year warranty on workmanship, they do not honor that warranty. There reason was the wind rating is for winds that last less than 3 seconds. Where on Earth does wind blow for 2.99 seconds then stop? Nowhere, that's where. Clearly the product was not designed to withstand average winds. Clearly the product wasn't installed correctly. My neighbor's carport withstood the storm with no problem, but my brand new carport blew over. Their advertising is deceptive and the warranty service is fraudulent. I am asking for a replacement building or a refund so I can work with a reputable builder.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/26/2025

    Mr. *********,

We truly apologize for the storm damage you experienced and truly hope no one was injured during it.

All of our structures are rated for a 3 second gust, not sustained winds. This is dictated by the International Building Code, and is not a parameter that the builder or engineering team sets. Those are the observed thresholds as dictated by a governing authority.

Unfortunately, similar to if your home was damaged in a storm, you would need to file a claim with your insurance company for replacement or repair.

I do see where the builder has previously offered you a discount on a replacement structure, as they were equally saddened to learn of your loss. We can certainly help you coordinate that replacement purchase if you would like to move forward with that.

    Sincerely,

    Suzie

     Complaint: 23026418

I am rejecting this response because: Their building sustained major damage when all other buildings in the immediate area took ZERO damage. Their buildings are not built correctly and are structurally weak. I feel like I was lied to and ripped off.

    Regards,

    **** *********

    Business Response

    Date: 05/01/2025

    Mr. *********,

I am relieved to hear other buildings in the immediate area had no damage from the storm. Unfortunately we could not explain why those were left unharmed, when this structure was damaged. We can only provide feedback & engineering on the design of the structure the builder assembled for you.

Although storm damage is typically handled with your insurance company, in terms of replacement or repair, I do see the builder was willing to offer you a discount for a new structure. That's something we don't typically see, and I am grateful they are willing to do so. If you would like to explore this option further, please let me know.

    Sincerely,

    Suzie

     Complaint: 23026418

I am rejecting this response because: the building installed by the company was structurally weak as indicated by the collapse under average Texas thunderstorm winds. There was no damage because the storm wasn't that strong, the building was weak. I refuse to purchase another building when I witnessed first hand how weak they are constructed. Why would I throw more money in the trash? Refund or replacement are the only acceptable solutions, and they refuse to stand by their product as advertised.

I had the building put up in August 2024. Everything was positive until last week. One of the roll up doors is either out of alignment or needs to be adjusted. I contacted them and they told me it could be months before it could be looked at. They said the original installer would have to make the repair and they travel state to state. Months to repair a roll up door on a $16k building less than a year old is unacceptable.

    Mr. *******,

We are very sorry your entry door is not functioning properly. I do see where we initiated a repair order with the builder on your behalf on February 24th; however, shortly thereafter you requested the repair order be cancelled.

I would be happy to reactivate this repair order for you, as I believe this is what you would like. With this in mind, I will reach out to Carolina ******** immediately so they can begin working on that repair request once more.

If I have misunderstood your request, and you would prefer this work order be cancelled again, please let me know.

    Ms. ******,

We are so very sorry the crew has not been able to return quite yet to address the concerns. It looks like they tried to schedule you in July & August, but could not reach you to confirm the appointment.

I do see you provided a second contact phone number in late September, and they were able to schedule you for an appointment earlier this month.

We were under the impression that everything was addressed at that appointment, but it sounds like that may not have been the case. With this in mind, I will reach out to the builder to check in on this for you and update you directly via email.

I purchased a metal building from ****'s Factory. During the planning period I spoke with representatives about how the structure would be used as an event center and if the building and materials (tin, and frame) would serve this purpose. After I was assured the structure would be a perfect fit we proceeded with the design. I was never told that once sheetrock was added to the walls of the ************ it would void the warranty. Carolina ******** delivered and completed construction and it wasn't until months later when we started getting heavy rain that I noticed the windows and doors were leaking. I took pictures of the windows and noticed they were not properly sealed. The cut outs are bigger than the window and the open space allows water to come in from the outside. I called several times and after about 4 weeks of not hearing back about being on a schedule I received correspondence asking for pictures of the inside of the structure. I asked the representative about what i could do to fix the leaking windows and doors while im waiting to be put on the list and she said nothing becuse if i seal them it would void the warranty. I sent photos and was told because drywall was added inside the warranty was void. Even though the windows were leaking from the outside due to poor installation and pictures showing the wholes and open space I am left finding an attorney, replacing drywall, getting rid of mold, and hiring a contractor to properly seal the windows and doors. I was hoping the company would recognize the mistake made by the contractor in the beginning and fix the problem. Contract does say altering voids the contract and it also says "Base Rail Leaks. CCI does not seal under the base of the unit and is not responsible for leaks under the base rail". It doesn't say they dont seal or arent responsible proper installation of the windows and doors. I am requesting that someone seal the windows and doors that were not sealed upon installation.

I ordered a metal garage building from ****'s last Summer but by the time I was able to get a pad in place and for them to get out here it wasn't installed until the end of November or very early December.I had ordered a sand colored roof and **** colored walls but the installed building has sand colored walls and roof and is a lot less attractive. The work order presented to me when the workers arrived was correct and called for **** colored walls. By the time I noticed the error the building was nearly complete and it was near dusk. I reported this issue to ****'s but they offered no response or remedy.I had resigned myself to living with the wrong colored walls but discovered another problem this Spring. I was unable to open the garage doors this winter. They were latched and I figured that water had probably frozen in the latch. I wanted to put concrete seal around the base of the structure and needed to wait for Spring to do this anyhow so I just waited. This Spring I needed a rubber mallet to unlatch the doors and found out that the sliding latches don't line up with the slots they are to go in. The workers had somehow forced them to latch but they were so tight it required a rubber mallet to get them open and I'm unable to get the garage door to latch again.

    Hello ****************,

I do apologize for the issues you are having with your garage doors. I do see a repair order has already been placed for you with the builder (Carolina ********** and their company has confirmed receipt. *******, the scheduler for the builder reached out to you last week to advise you that she is working on sending her crew out to address the issues with the doors as soon as possible.

As for the colors of your building, upon reviewing the photos you sent us last week, I can confirm you received the Clay ****** & Sandstone Roof paneling, which is what you requested when the order was placed. I would be happy to ask the builder to bring out samples of both colors for your review so you can verify this firsthand in person.

    Sincerely,

    Suzie

The price I gave for the garage was too, it was actually around $8000.00. They have responded to me that the color of the walls is actually ***** It does match the current color on their website listed as ***** however at the time I ordered the color shown was a much darker reddish brown and not the light tan currently showing.

They claim they haven't changed their colors but the current color is very different from what was shown when I placed my order back in July of 2023. ****'s says they will be sending out a crew to correct the issue with the latching of the garage doors. If they follow through with that, then I don't think my complaint is worth pursuing.

Though I'm sure the **** that showed at the time I ordered was very different from the light tan color currently appearing as **** on their site currently, it isn't something I could prove. If the door latches are fixed as has been promised, I'll be satisfied.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 04/20/2024

They're supposed to be here the morning of April 30th to address the garage door issue. If those are repaired I'm happy. The color is different from what was on-line at the time I ordered, but if the garage doors had worked I won't have even pursued it. I'd already decided to just deal with the color; it's not that bad.

    ****************,

We have never made any changes to the colors as shown on our website; however, it is possible the device you used to view the color options when you ordered/before you ordered, distorted the view of it. In essence, your monitor settings can skew the way colors appear on your screen. I do apologize if this is what occurred in your case.

I can confirm the builder will be returning to assist with the issues with your doors and the scheduling team from their company (Carolina ********* will contact you directly to schedule this appointment once a date is set.

I purchased a 26x25 metal shop with a lean-to porch which is 10x26, paid over $18000 (not including the concrete or electrical). The shop was installed around February 15, 2024, when we got the first rain, which was on March 6, 2024, my shop flooded, I reported this issue to ****'s Factory, I sent them photos (per their request), and they said that the water was coming in from the bottom, well, I sealed the bottom with the caulk they suggested but just a few days later my shop flooded again, this time I was able to see that the water was coming in from the windows, which by the way, I reported to them that the installers made the windows opening too large and that there are huge gaps on the sides of the windows. When the installers were about to leave, I pointed out that there were these big gaps, they quickly said, oh, don't worry about it, water will not come through, I rejected their response and asked them to seal these gaps, they agreed and put silicone on the gaps, the problem is that the gaps are too big and they also left several spots not sealed properly. I also just discovered that one of the trusses supports is rusting very badly, I sent pictures of this issue to them.I've contacted ****'s factory several times, sent videos, pictures, etc. but I'm yet to get a fix for my shop, in the meantime, I have items that got damaged by the water that came through.****'s factory keeps on saying, someone will contact you to schedule an installation crew to come out to fix the issue.

Over the past six months my husband *********************** *************) and I have been dealing with Alan's Factory Outlet for them to build a shed and a pavilion on our property at *****************************************************************************. On August 26th we ordered the shed and paid a deposit of $1,014. 90 and on September 19th we paid a deposit of $614.40 for them to build a pavilion. They said that we needed blueprints from a their 3rd party called ***************** so we paid them $175 on September 6th and $175 on September 27th. They said that the ground under the shed had to be level so we spent several weeks digging out the grass to make it level. They said it needed to have a gravel base so ***** took days off work and rented a trailer from Sunbelt Rentals for $123.61 on November 17th and bought several tons of gravel from Earthworks for $149.80 to prepare for the shed. We were in constant contact with the company sending pictures of our updates in emails and talking to them on the phone. They said we needed permits so we made several trips to the Bay ************************** to obtain those. On October 23rd we paid $373.83 for the building permit for the shed. On December 5th we paid $322.48 for the permit for the pavilion. We waited for several more weeks and were finally told that they would arrive to build the shed on January 22nd. A truck arrived in the morning and after about 5 minutes the builder said the site for the shed and pavilion were too far from the driveway and they couldn't build them. We have wasted so much time and money dealing with the incompetence and fraudulent business practices of this company. They refunded us the deposits for the shed and pavilion on January 22nd. Companies like this cause extensive expense and mislead consumers so they need to be held accountable. We want them to refund us also the $350 we paid for the blueprints, the $273.41 we spent laying gravel, and the $696.31 we paid for the permits. The total of these expenses is: $1,319.72.

    Business Response

    ****************,

We were very disappointed to learn the installation crew was unable to install your structures in January. I understand the sites were not level, nor easily accessible to the crew when they arrived, which unfortunately are key requirements to a successful installation of a metal building.

As opposed to addressing the issues, so installation could be possible, I see you instead requested both orders be cancelled and a full refund of your deposit be provided. Per your request, our company previously fully cancelled out your orders & provided a full refund of all funds paid to us.

If you have since changed your mind, and would like to create a level install site for both structures, and provide direct access to the install crew, we would be happy to assist you with reactivating your orders so the crew can come back out to attempt installation once more.

We look forward to hearing from you in regards to how you would like to proceed.

    Sincerely,

    Suzie
