      I purchased the 2005  ****** ****** ** and immediately had mechanical issues on the ride home to Charlottesville where I lived at the time. I returned the vehicle to the dealership on 7/21 and 7/22 where the dealer advised they made the minor repairs to address the issues. I advised I was relocating back to Maine and was assured all issues were resolved. The vehicle barely made the trip and experience multiple problems on the way. I brought the vehicle to a ****** dealership and was basically informed that I was sold a lemon. The headgaskets were leaking, multiple cylinders were misfiring, it failed a compression test, had a leaking radiator hose, and a long list of other problems. I spoke with the dealer who initially advised they would pay for repairs within reason. After learning that the entire motor needed to be replaced, the dealership then advised to call the warranty company which I was unaware of until that moment. Since then, the warranty company has been giving me the run around and will not work with any repair shops that I have located. The car is currently unable to be driven and no one is willing to cover the repairs. I believe the dealership was fully aware of the current state of the engine as their website claims every car sold is put through a vigorous inspection. If this were true, the issues on the Subaru would have been easily noticed. I am looking for the dealer to reimburse me for the costs of replacing the engine with a used engine I have located locally. Thank you,*****************************

      Hello

      My name is Ali M********, I am the GM at JNM Automotive Sales. *** ****** purchased a 2005 ****** ****** ** Turbo from us came here and test drove it picked it up on July 20th 2022 drove to Charlottesville VA which is about an Hour and half to two hours away from our location. The car was driving good with no problems, and had passed VA inspection and emissions *** ****** bought the car as is, however, I have included a power-train warranty through a third party, which is offered on purchases of all of our cars and I gave him the contract in writing. A few days later *** ****** calls me and said that the car is slightly over heating when he puts the AC on. In good faith I told him bring the car back and we will fix it. He brought the car the next day we replaced the radiator fan and thermostat and car was running great. *** ****** took the car and drove it to Maine which is about 12 – 14 hours from Leesburg VA. He called me a week later and told me that the check engine is on and the car is running rough, I told him to get it checked out and let me know, he called me back and said that he took it to Subaru dealer and told him it needs a new engine. I gave him two choices either bring the car back and I will give I full refund ($6800) or use the third-party warranty which I gave him. Now we all know the in the state of Virginia if the car is sold AS IS there is no refund and no return, this car is a high performance, I don`t know how he drove It, perhaps he accelerated it hard and blew the head gasket, which is possible, also the vehicle passed emissions here in VA and would usually not if there was a concern present. I am not going to pay for an engine but in good faith I will still offer *** ****** to bring the car back with the title and I will refund him his money back. Please see attached documents.
