On Wednesday August 14th, Perfect Parking during business hours at the ***** **** was laying new tar/asphalt in the parking lot. Unfortunately, residual specks from the work scattered onto the paint of my vehicle, causing significant damage. The issue was discovered in the evening when I got home after trying to clear off what I thought was dirt, Because I consisitently maintenance vehicle I had detailer review and offer and immediate cleaning to help remove tar before it settled and sealed on vehicle.

The following morning, I spoke with **** the project manager at work and ***** manager, ******, regarding the issue. Vlad told me to escalate with ****** at *****, and ****** and ********* insurance team claimed they are not liable. After having left review for company and sending follow up communications they claim they will not be liable as well due to lack of evidence in addition to not communicating issue same day, all managers vacated premises and the Perfect Parking crew were gone for the day. When the evidence was provided, it was the morning after and I asked **** to look at damage and he relayed he would speak to ******.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/18/2024

Hello, I am replying to a complaint made by ********* regarding the alleged incident. The complaint was that allegedly our sealer material got on her vehicle, and she had to get it detailed. Here are the issues with this allegation and why we refused to address it:1. **Improper Handling of the Alleged Incident**: **** claims that sealer from our operations got onto her vehicle. However, without first notifying us or ******* at the time of the alleged occurrence, she proceeded to have her vehicle detailed. This approach raises significant concerns, as it compromises the burden of proof. To draw an analogy, it is akin to someone claiming you damaged their vehicle and then presenting you with an invoice after getting it fixed without giving you an opportunity to inspect the damage. Such actions create substantial uncertainty about the incident. Had the matter been reported to us in a timely manner, we would have had the opportunity to address it properly, including the potential use of specialized chemicals to remove any overspray, if indeed we were at fault.2. **Lack of Evidence**: Our team on site, ******* management and their claims department conducted a thorough inspection of the working area, including nearby vehicles and the surrounding curbing. They found no evidence of overspray, which led to the initial denial of the claim. If your vehicle had been affected, it stands to reason that other nearby objects would have shown similar signs of overspray. The absence of such evidence further supports our position.3. **Questionable Circumstances Surrounding the Detailing**: The assertion that she had her vehicle detailed overnight due to alleged sealer overspray is highly questionable. The urgency and manner in which this was handled appear unreasonable and implausible, especially given that our team was not contacted beforehand. Furthermore, the invoice she submitted for reimbursement raises additional concerns. Our attempts to reach the detailing shop have been unsuccessful, and the shop’s location in *******—several states away from ********, **—adds to our skepticism. The photos and videos provided show the vehicle being washed in a driveway with a garden hose, which does not align with the professional detailing services claimed. In summary, the manner in which this situation was handled provides no substantiated proof of the alleged incident. Additionally, the lack of evidence in the area and the questionable nature of the detailing invoice further undermine the validity of the claim. Therefore, we must respectfully deny any liability in this matter.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/18/2024

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The owner of the company has communicated with me once and has not reached out for any further evidence. The pictures and communication was established with project manager on site. The company who was hired to do the car detailing an emergency cleaning never got any communication even though they themselves reached out via email though Perfect Parking Claims they reached out, they didn't. Company was hired to complete work in a ***** **** parking lot in ******** **. Overspray from their work spread across my vehicle in the designated lot and was not easily removed upon arriving home in the evening. The following morning speaking to project supervisor outside *****) he advised me to work it out with *****.  Versus having to repaint vehicle damages, I had an emergency detail completed in the evening and offered both companies the option to restore paint back to pre-damaged quality.***** relayed to work it out with the contractor and they are not liable. Contractor stated they were never told "in time" the morning after wasn't in time, and because nobody on their team saw the vehicle I talked to **** and told him, he declined and said he would speak to *****. On August 20th Alex, who is the owner or registered agent of company, replies due to lack of evidence with a reply clearly written by ** declined to make things right. I hope customers are wary hiring this unprofessional company and how they may treat patrons to your establishment when they re-do your lot. Evidence and dates in images attached! The images attached show all communication this company chose to ignore.

    Regards,

    ********* ******
