J & R towed my vehicle 15 minutes after my arrival at home around 12:00 midnight. I truly believe the two truck driver followed me to my spot. I parked in the spot I usually park. The tow truck driver towed my car within 15 minutes of my arrival home. The reason I found out it was a tow and not stolen is because my neighbor has a ring camera and could see the tow right after I arrived home. Prior to viewing my neighbors camera I thought my car was stolen because when I called J & R, J & R had no record of the tow. When I called the Police they stated that J & R had an obligation to report the tow to the local police and that the local police had no record of the tow. It took me hours to find out where my car was. The local police department did the investigation and knew that my neighbor had the camera and discovered, by watching the video, that J & R towed my vehicle. I was very upset thinking my car was stolen, called my insurance company and began a claim for a stolen vehicle. No report was made to the local police until the police reached out to J & R. I admit that my parking sticker was expired due to the fact my apartment complex did not send me an updated sticker, so I bear some responsibility in being parked with out a proper sticker, however J & R has a responsibility to inform their office of the tow immediately as well as to immediately inform the local police department. It's a shame J & R does not follow the rules of towing leaving people upset thinking their vehicle may have been stolen.

In the future if you have had an issue with a towing company and would like a proper response, please provide where your vehicle was towed from, the make and model of the vehicle, and also the date in which is was towed so that we can actually look into what you are talking about. We don’t know anyone by there name. Also if police did an investigation and was quickly able to identify, per the video footage who had towed your vehicle, how come you weren’t able to determine that when you first saw the video. I’m certainly assuming that you saw it before they would have had an opportunity to get to it. All cars have to be called into the police within a certain amount of time. That is absolutely correct. However without further information, theres nothing to look into. I hope you have a blessed day and week.
