  Was a patient for many years. It seems the main focus is money these - except for *********** After going to a different doctor, I discovered just how much I was being overcharged and pushed into buying glasses that were more expensive than I would have wanted to buy. Very sad that it has come this this.

  This is the second year I have been going to Premier Eyecare. I have Histoplasmosis, Retinitis OU, Hypermetropia OU, Nyctalopia, Histoplasmosis, Retinitis OU so I need to go every 6 months to make sure no changes are occurring. Last two times that I have gone to this office everything was covered by my insurance. Today when I went for my 6 month check up I was told at CHECKOUT that for insurance to cover all testing I would need to have testing done in one appointment and eyes looked at on another appointment. The doctor knew this and the check out guy said he checked my insurance coverage last week. Why didn't anyone tell me about this? They then charged me full price out of pocket for all of the testing. This office does not care about their patients only how much money they can get from them. I was told by the billing person that she was sorry but I had to pay the amount before I could leave. Not only did I have to wait an hour after my appointment time before getting called back but now I had to pay for testing that my eye insurance would have covered. I had to spend my child's grocery money on test that my insurance would have covered if they would have done the appointments correctly. Never again will anyone in my family step foot in that office.

  Always enjoy DR ******* He's so calm and professional. He makes sure to ask questions about possible changes I might be experiencing and explaining what to expect if I do notice changes. He also urges me not to wait if I develop problems between annual appointments.

  I want to start by saying I have been a patient for over 25 years. I was sent pre-visit forms to complete before my annual exam. It consisted of 12 pages of information! Everything- patient information, insurance, all medical information, family medical history information and mostly financial - Payment agreement, missed appointment cost, credit card authorization, how much it will cost if an appt. is missed or cancelled within 24 hours even if you have Covid, Return & exchange policy for glasses, etc (a long legal document) including fees, (EACH of these sections have to be electronically signed before moving on to next section), then a pretesting information - very lengthy, and ends with 8 screening tests with description each costing $45.50 and you have to mark yes or no! I feel like first have the exam then if additional testing is needed, the doctor should recommend it. How do you know what testing or screening will be needed before your appointment? I am done with this office! After 25+ years I am being treated like a new patient never had been seen before. **************** has been a great doctor but certainly not worth all of the frustrations. This office is now obviously in it for the money and not the eye care - its all about the sale and money now! It WAS a family oriented eye care office, not anymore. For an annual exam on a returning patient, one should only have to update any changes that have occurred in the past year not a complete pages of a comprehensive questionnaire! I will not be going back to this office for my eye care!
