      Unscrupulous and Indecent Billing!

      I want to say first that the technicians, nurses, doctors and staff at Fairfax Radiology in Landsdowne are wonderful and I am saddened that they are associated with a business with such indecent and unscrupulous billing practices. That is the ONLY reason why this place is getting more than one star

      After a mammogram, ultrasound, and double biopsy I received a large bill so I called to get set up on a payment plan. I opted to have the payments withdrawn from my HSA knowing deposits would be made from our paychecks bi-weekly. 4 months after setting up on the payment plan (and 4 months after getting regular statements saying to "Pay according to payment plan" and indicating that NOTHING was amiss) I get a letter from a collections company for a balance due. Apparently, two payments had been missed and I had no idea because I received no call, no letter, or no indication on my MONTHLY statements. Yes, this was my responsibility but I didn't realize that that there was an issue with my HSA. Had I known, or been given a chance to resolve the issue, I would have happily given them a different account.

      When I called to speak to someone to see about getting it removed from collections and asking why I did not receive a letter I was told by billing that they are not there to "babysit" me and that they don't send out letters or call. When I explained that my monthly statements showed nothing wrong and told me to continue to pay according to my payment plan with no indication of missed payments, she agreed and said she would look into it. Then nothing. A week later when I called back I got the pleasure of talking to another gem of a human who, again, didn't care. And didn't think it is a problem when a customer isn't notified that a payment has failed to go through.

      Just beware. This company will not HESITATE to send you to collections quickly and with NO notice.
