My ordeal with USA Home Construction started on October 2, 2023, the agreed upon for the roofing replacement of my property at **************. The installation didn't happen that day due to the screw-up of the date by the contractor, Nathan. He was embarrassed and apologized. He proposed a new installation date on October 9, 2023. The cost of his mistake was two days of my time, 5 hours driving time each way plus tolls from my home in ******** to **************, **, in addition, one night of ************ expenses in hotel. The roofing was completed on October 10, 2023. Nathan made an offer of painting the ceiling inside the house to compensate his mistakes. I paid the remaining balance of the installation but withheld $1,000 dollars until the interior ceiling paint was done. The ceiling paint has not been done till now. On January 14, 2025, my tenant at ************** started to complain that the ceiling was leaking and sent me several pictures. I arranged a handyman to check the leak, the inspection from the handyman was that it came from the joint between the roofing and the wall, he suspected that flashing was not properly installed. I mentioned it Nathan and sent him all the pictures, he didnt return my call, I kept calling him and asked what he planned to do about the roofing leak. Again, he ignores my calls, several times of his text said he would call me back, but he never did. He frequently used the excuses of " he was in a conference, he would call back at a given time etc", but he never did. He even lied to me twice about sending his roofer to check out the leak, first on 1/23/25, and then on 2/4/25. Again, he didnt fulfill his promises. I have no choice but hiring a local; contractor to fix the roofing because tenant was worrying of growing molds and mildews of the leaked ceiling.Customer Answer

Attached is a copy of the contract signed by both parties. It is clear that US Home and Construction breached the contract for not carrying out the repair of the roofing leak, as the results, it caused a severe damage of the internal ceiling.Initial Complaint

On July 27, 2021 USA Home Construction was contracted to do home repair on a leaky roof, working that was part of a home insurance claim.This year Geico/Travelers contacted me to tell me they never got the completed work documents (Final invoice and pictures of the completed work).I have called the company almost daily trying to get in contact with them but the phone always goes to voice mail and they will never call back.I need to get a copy of those documents because my home insurance is threatening to cancel my insurance since they did not supply any of those documents when they were finished.Initial Complaint

I am the Administrator d.b.n of my mom's estate. I have already filed a complaint with BBB back in April 2023 and have not heard back from this company nor from BBB. This company has over $4,000 that ****** pocketed and the roof was NEVER completed. The roof was supposed to be finally completed in October 2022. They told my mom what she wanted to hear and NEVER followed through. Since the money has been pocketed by ******, and ****** has probably fled to ******* again to avoid responsibility. That is what he did back in the Spring/Summer 2022 when he had unskilled day laborers come out to remove the roof, and instead, they took a hammer and smashed the window!. ****** did not want to replace the window. So, he fled to ******* thinking he would hang out there until my mom forgot about it. My mom didn't forget about it. What happened was ******'s manager got tired of hearing my mom's incessant complaining and he paid for the window out of his own pocket. When ****** found that out, he came back to United States of America. I have reported this company to Nationwide since this money is insurance money. It is now October 28, 2023 9:20 PM and this roof still is not finished. I am asking BBB or whoever even cares about this fraud to arrest ****** before he flees the country again, return the insurance money with interest, and force ****** to pay out of his pocket for a reputable roof company to come out here to finish the job. This is unacceptable and inexcusable. I don't understand why BBB is letting this continue but also, I have yet to hear from BBB. I was supposed to hear back after 14 days. This was back in April 2023. It is now Saturday October 28, 2023 at 9:25 PM. I want this roof completed properly and professionally before November 6, 2023. NO excuses.Initial Complaint

On April 7, 2020, I signed an addendum to my original contract to replace my roof in order for the contractor to replace my metal roof in addition. Per the terms of the contract, all installation labor is warranted for three years. I notified the contractor owner through text and sent a picture of my metal roof separating from the house on 30 Jan 2023. I texted him on 1 February requesting status on when it will be fixed, and he stated he was sick and will be there on Tuesday and notified him that I will be out of town all week, but he can fix it since it was outside. I sent him a text on 12 Feb 2023 because I noticed it wasn't fixed and said he didn't make it and was sorry due to being sick. He stated he would send his roofer out on Wednesday. Again, they never showed up and texted him on 24 Feb and stated nobody showed up. Didn't get a response so I texted again on 8 March. He said he would send his roofer on 9 March 2023. The roofer never showed up, and I texted him again on 4 April 2023 and never received a response. I tried calling directly on 20 April and 21 April and left messages with no return calls.Initial Complaint

Last summer I had USA Home Construction replace my roof following an insurance claim for hail damage. The workers did an exceptional job replacing the roof. ****, the head *******, asked if I knew any neighbors who needed a new roof. He said that a $500 referral fee would be awarded if any friends/neighbors were to get a new roof through them. I referred one of my neighbors who ended up getting a new roof. I never saw the referral fee though. I sent countless texts to **** over the following months, inquiring about the status of the referral fee. I got one excuse after another. In December, he simply stopped answering my texts. As a result, I went directly to Nathan Shin, the owner of USA Home Construction. He told me that the check would be mailed that week. A month later, I still have no check and can't get him to answer my calls/texts either. I get the distinct impression that they hope I'll simply go away. I'm a man of character though - I believe in right and wrong - I expect folks to honor their word. I'm not going anywhere until this wrong is righted.
