    Claim for Damaged Item from Recent Move - In January 2022 we hired Regal Moving Services to pack our household belongings, store them for 9 months and deliver them once our new home was being built. Once we "closed" they delivered our belongings to our new address in DE but one item, our ********* Gold French Door Refrigerator was damaged at which point we contacted Regal to file a claim. At the recommendation of Regals Claims Manager (**************** [sp ??]) we sought out a service repair company to get an estimate on the cost to repair it, which **************** also agreed to reimburse us for ($105.00) *********** repair person informed us that it would cost over ($1400.00) to repair and there were no guarantees that it would even work so he recommended the refrigerator be replaced. The original cost for the refrigerator was over $2500.00. **************** informed us that the ***************************** was responsible for paying for the repairs.We have contacted Regal, on many occasions, sent them the estimate the day after the technician reviewed the refrigerator and **************** agreed that Regal would pay for at least half the cost of the repair. Since November 2022 we have been trying to get the claim resolved and have made numerous attempts to contact **************, President of Regal, but he has not returned any of our calls. We have tried to reach him by email, but the email bounces and we've sent a registered letter as well with no response. We paid for the insurance for this move as well so this should not be a problem to pay for the damaged refrigerator. The refrigerator was in perfect condition when it was moved and there was no reason to think it wouldn't be in perfect condition when it was delivered. At this all we want is for them to honor their commitment to pay for the refrigerator that was damaged while in their care. We have been proactive in trying to get this resolved but Regal has not made any attempt to reach out with a resolution.

    This moving company is not good. My one day move turned into 3 days with different laborers each time. They were not professionals at all. The owner came reviewed my belongings told me what size truck was needed. I gave deposit and location two weeks in advance. The truck came on time but was way to small. They left half my things behind. After unpacking the owner was called by movers and now the price has gone from $2400 to $2600 because of he trip to Baltimore. I refused to pay $2600. Now next week Tuesday I was to meet by 12 noon for the truck, I got there early morning they showed up at 6:30 that evening. Loaded the stuff and I'm thinking we're going to Baltimore but the guys said they were told to bring my things back to warehouse in Chantilly VA and someone would bring them to me on Wednesday. My mom's antique bed is broken piece picked up on April 20 and as of today June 14 I still don't have my mom's bed back and no can tell me anything about the bed. There have been different stories but I don't have my mom's bed. I'm on my way to small claims court. The also damaged other pieces of furniture, broke a chair but he didn't even want to heard about that. Such a horrible experience.
