I financed a car with Nawabe Automotive, finalizing the deal on August 14th, 2022. Upon arriving, ***** (Owner) explained that he had already picked out a car and gotten a deal figured out. I accepted it and drove off. My car kept failing the emissions test, getting a cataclysmic efficiency below threshold error code. I took these issues to Nawabe, they promised they'd fix it and they did not. I decided to handle the issue on my own and took the car to get a diagnostics test to figure out what exactly was causing it to fail. The mechanic took pictures of my car and showed me that there was an extreme amount of damage done to the car and its frame, as the passenger side of the frame was bent beneath my battery. The catalytic converter was completely shot, upon other issues. It would cost over $3k in repairs to fix it just to pass emissions. It seemed as if the car was in a bad accident and the damages were covered up to prevent suspicion. I went with this information to ***** December 29, 2022. He said that he had evidence proving he had the car in this condition prior to selling it to me but could not produce such documentation. He also tried to flip the damage onto me, even though I've only had the car about half a year without any accidents or damage to the vehicle. My situation isn't special either, going on ****** you can read reviews of other unsatisfied customers who have almost identical situations to mine. It is apparent that ***** and Nawabe Automotive has a habit of selling cars to people that seem to be in good condition and not disclosing the actual information prior to the sale. I no longer wish to finance this car and would like to return this to him and possibly be compensated for the money I have spent diagnosing the car's issues and getting my emissions test done multiple times.
