    Website says newly renovated cottages. Lol. The A/C did not work well during the day, it would get to 80 or more in there. We actually bought fans to help cool the place off. The internet was slow and cut out frequently. Had to hotspot our phone multiple times to be able to watch the TV. The beds were old and worn out or very poor quality. No blinds and see thru curtains in bedroom. Old uncomfortable furniture. Place was dirty. W
    e had an infant crawling around and her knees hands and feet were black from the floors.
    Frequently were out of linens in their self serv linen room. Had bugs in room. Poor drainage in sinks and tub. Not a good place to stay for the ***** it cost for the week.

    We
    are so sorry to hear that our guests Jeff and ******* ***** were unhappy with
    their stay.  We have maintenance &
    housekeeping staff on site daily and we received no complaints from Mr. or Mrs.
    ***** during their entire stay.  We were
    unaware of these issues until it was brought to our attention on **** *** ****le reviews.  These are the same words
    that appear in this complaint and we will briefly address each. 


    The
    cottage was totally renovated in July 2022 inside and outside; it was put back
    into service July 1, 2022 and has been occupied less than 5 months this past year.  This included new flooring throughout, completely
    new bathroom with fixtures, new kitchen sink/cabinets, and new external entry doors.


    Our
    area was experiencing a heat wave during the ******* stay and we did ask all
    guests to be careful to keep windows and doors shut with the curtains closed
    during the day to help the air condition units keep up. There are no see thru
    curtains in the bedrooms.  It was a tough week with the heat and our
    maintenance staff is prepared with extra window units if needed.  However, we were never notified the unit was
    not keeping up.


    The
    internet provider did have periodic outages for a few minutes in the mornings
    during that period which required a system reset.  Again, we were unaware there was a problem until
    our staff discovered it themselves.


    We
    have had very few complaints about the beds with most being that the sofa beds
    aren't as good as a regular bed (understandable).  Also, no complaints
    about our furniture.


    Holiday
    Cottages is known for our cleanliness as you will note in our numerous 5-star
    reviews.  This is not by accident as our housekeepers are phenomenal and
    are very detail oriented. We also follow up with a final inspection conducted
    by the owners before we allow a guest to enter.


    The
    linen room is open 24/7 with fresh towels, wash cloths, hand towels, bath mats,
    trash bags, toilet tissue and small soaps.  We check the linen room
    approximately every two hours throughout the day to make sure it is refilled as
    necessary.


    The
    only bugs I can think of that are mentioned above would be if mosquitos or
    flies came in when the door was opened.  We place ant traps in each
    cottage in the Spring to stay ahead of ants.


    All
    drains in each cottage were cleaned by schedule in the first week of July.


    In summary, we received no complaints from the *****’s about this or any
    other issues during their stay.  Had they
    brought any of these issues to our attention, we would have taken care of them
    immediately.  Our staff is on site daily
    during normal working hours and there is an emergency contact number to call
    after hours.  We pride ourselves on
    taking great care of our guests as can be noted by our numerous positive reviews.
