    On or about June 9th, I contacted Mike ***** of Mills Family Plastering and General Contractor to come and bid on a job to fix my drywall and plaster after having my plumbing changed out. Mike came, took a look at the work needing to be done, and gave me an agreeable estimate. He started the job on Monday, June 13. He said it would take three days. I paid 1/2 of the total due at the end of his work on Monday. The rest was to be paid on Wednesday when the job was completed. He completed the drywall repairs on the first day and worked on plastering the next. On Wednesday (which was to be his final day) he repaired the popcorn ceiling and was to sand areas in the downstairs bathroom and an area in my upstairs dressing area. I had an errand to run, but he told me after he finished the ceiling, he had about 15 minutes of sanding and then would be done. I left him a check. When I arrived home, I started to clean up from his "sanding" in the bathroom and dressing area. What I found was that the job on those two areas was awful. Some areas were not sanded enough (big gouges and goppy plaster remained) and some areas were sanded so much that the tape used under the plaster was exposed. I phoned Mike, and he said he could not get his trowel into some areas (behind and below the toilet) and that was why the job looked bad. I told him that I would remove the toilet. He said he would come back to make the job right because he wanted me to be happy with his work. I also texted him pictures of the areas that were not satisfactory, and I asked him for a specific date that he could work me into his schedule. It has been over a week, and I have not heard back from him. My calls go straight to voicemail. I have left two messages, but still, no response. On my last message, I indicated that I would have to take further measures if I didn't hear back from him to correct problems.
