      On 10th I purchased a vehicle from CarPalace after specifically inquiring about any and all damage or issues with the vehicle, and I was assured there were none. Immediately upon arrival/delivery June 14, 2024, 8:40 am (once again inquired about any and all damage or issues and was assured there were none), I took the car for its Maryland state inspection at 9:30 pm. The car failed inspection because the license plate light did not function, driver side rear view mirror was unsecure, and the rear tire(s) were too worn down. I was quoted about $600 for the repairs. Im aware That ******** and ******** state inspections differ in quality and what they're looking for, however the items that failed the Maryland State Inspection were also items that were relevant in the Virginia state inspection and I for the life of me cannot understand how they passed. I also intend to file a complaint with the Virginia state inspector because I am suspicious of some kind of collusion. I contacted the dealer immediately to inform him immediately about this fact and was essentially told that they just want money and was essentially told that he would do nothing about it and he provided me with a number for a mechanic who I would have to pay out of my own pocket to repair the issues. I took my car to a friend of mine and he helped me repair the issues and more on our own. He also pointed out to me numerous disconcerting issues with the car, like the fact it had been in a bad accident as evident by poor paint job, welded parts, replaced back windshield, potentially replaced trunk, also evidence of an exploded battery, and everything under the hood was just covered in armorall to make it look new. Also the carfax and vin indicate its a 2017 ****** Corolla L yet the car was advertised and sold as LE and had no reported accident. Everyday I find more issues with the car that I was not told about and plan to have my personal mechanic do a complete lookover of the vehicle. (cont in attach)
