- Additional Info:The Association is a non-profit organization exempt from Federal Income Taxes under section 501(c)(9) of the Internal Revenue Code that was established in 1956. MBA is governed by a seven member volunteer board of active and retired military members. MBA membership totals approximately 130,000. The Association offers various financial benefits to members, including discounted health, educational and group life insurance coverage to active and retired military personnel, as well as to civilian employees of the United States Government. Types of coverage include group term life insurance and TRICARE supplement.
