    On Monday 22 August 2022 at approximately 1030 am. I was traveling west on route 3 from King George and when the speed limit was upped to 60 mph, I passed one of your Santee work trucks in the left-hand lane. A little passed the land field where the speed limit dropped to 55 mph, I look in my rear-view mirror and the same work truck went past me at a high rate of speed. As he went past, gravel flew from his truck and hit my windshield causing a crack. He has a load that was above the sides of the truck and there was no cover over the load. I tried to catch up to the truck, but he was driving in the left-hand lane at such a high rate of speed that I was unsuccessful in getting along side of him in the right lane due to my concern that he might side swipe me. I continued behind him at a much slower rate that he was driving and I could see that he continued at the high rate of speed thru Fredericksburg passing cars and then he took the I95 North exit. I pulled over and called your company at approximately 1100 that same day. What I got from the male who answered the phone was condescending at best and at one point I even asked why he was laughing at me when I was trying to tell him what happened. He started with the trucks going that direction were empty (I told him I had taken a picture of the truck with the load in it). He then ridiculed me for not being able to get the drivers number (I had the license plate number which was VA 727(or a 9) 89 it was hard to read because it was so dirty) and asked what type of car I had and said that he could not believe that I could not catch up to the truck. At this point I said fine I will have my husband call you because I knew as a female that I was getting nowhere. Note my expectation of the conversation was “ma’am I am sorry this happened we can’t cover the cost but I will talk to the driver and make him aware that he needs to slow down"
