Unlike other farms I boarded at, her own personal horse doesnt stay at a separate barn on the property, or doesnt get different hay. Her horse is in the same barn as the rest of the horses and has the same care as the rest of the boarded horses. Ms. ****** dedicates her life to the wellbeing of every single one of these animals and the happiness of their owners, she is at the barn from very very early in the morning to late at night completing barn chores. I left ******* barn to be closer to home and my trainer, but my horse became miserable and unhealthy at another barn so we returned immediately. With my horse at Blue Ridge he is never without hay, he never has an empty water bucket or a dirty stall. Stalls are stripped everyday and water buckets and troughs are sparkling, there were many times where I mentioned being comfortable drinking out of the trough outside (even in the summer when algae is prone to grow, the troughs are absolutely beautiful). Pastures are of course very well managed and arenas are kept up with and always dragged daily. *************************, her grandson and her worker ******** work from morning to night to keep this place sparkling and I have never been happier with the cleanliness and quality here. ****** is probably the sweetest person I have ever met and I trust her completely with the well-fare of my horse, I finally feel comfortable enough to take a day trip or go on a vacation again because of bad experiences from past barns. My horse also recently had a surgery done and the cleanliness and great care from Miss ****** and her staff are the only reason he is rehabbing as well as he is. I get daily updates abs dont have to worry about medications being given. His wounds were so clean and healing so well that when he returned for his follow up visit at VT Equine the staff gave compliments to the barn staff. Well done on the best barn in Central VA!
