    On short notice, ** inspected a home I am responsible for. He was incredibly focussed and attentive to detail. He thoroughly explained each item, and would answer any of my questions. As well as receiving and excellent report, it was an excellent education to spend the time with him and hear his descriptions of the problems in the house. As well he did not hesitate to point out the strengths.I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from him.

    I was very fortunate to have found and contracted with Ed (Atlas Home Inspection) to have my home inspected. I would highly recommend his services to anyone needing a home inspection. Ed’s pricing was competitive, his pre-inspection information was very helpful, and he was prompt and on time for my scheduled appointment. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. Ed’s inspection was very detailed and meticulous. He patiently answered my many questions and explained potential solutions and remedies to me in layman’s terms. Ed also noted whether each defect in the home should be addressed immediately, over time, or if it was optional. He promptly prepared the very detailed report and I will be able to use it to prioritize household projects and repairs. I can confidentially say that I learned more about residential dwellings from Ed during his inspection than I have over my last ten years of making home improvements.

    I was having some issues with my roof and getting conflicting reports from the insurance company and roofing contractors. Contacted Ed to get a third party unbiased opinion on the matter and I am glad I did it. Ed's expertise helped me understand exactly what the problem was and that information was key when talking to roofing contractors. I was able to understand my options and best way to move forward repairing the roof. This newly gained knowledge helped me push back to the contractors claiming that I needed a new roof, which I did not, and actually address the problem in hand.

    Ed, Atlas Home Inspection, performed an excellent inspection of our existing deck. The inspection was thorough, and informative. Ed was professional and so generous sharing his knowledge and recommendations. Ed started by patiently explaining how a deck is properly constructed, braced, and reinforced. The inspection report includes photos of areas that needed attention. The photos and write-ups in the report provide a straight-forward work plan. Ed said that our deck is old yet solid with some relatively minor repairs. During the deck inspection, Ed found a leaky pipe in the crawlspace under the kitchen sink. Bonus…Ed checked out the leak and suggested the proper way to repair the pipe. I highly recommend Ed.
