- Pending Government Action:Government Action: BBB reports on known government actions involving business’ marketplace conduct:District of Columbia v. Minnesota Group, LLC, et al.
The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government’s allegations, which have not yet been proven.
On August 14, 2018, the Office of Attorney General for the District of Columbia (OAG) filed a complaint in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia against Minnesota Group, LLC and its managing members, Jason Saunders and Delores Johnson. The DC OAG alleges the business is in violation of both the District's Tenant Receivership Act and the Consumer Procedures Act by failing to timely abate hazardous housing conditions that pose a serious threat to the health, safety, or security of the tenants. The complaint asserts a severe rodent and insect infestation problem exists, along with inadequate and faulty electricity, no heat during the winter, and defective plumbing resulting in water damage and widespread mold growth. An Order Appointing a Receiver was filed on December 28, 2018, however, the matter remains pending.
