This business is harassing my family in an unethical and fraudulent manner. I am deaf with two children. The current landlord is friends with my ex. I have had the cops at my house too many times for different things. My kids being loud on the floor, suspicious smells, etc. I have had almost no problem until recently when I tried to add on my Hispanic fiancé to the lease. Which they made us to do since he was already here so much. They gave me a 3 day comply or vacate to add him. We paid the fee for the background check/application as well as the fee for the 3 Day Notice they put up to add him to it immediately. The 3 day notice they posted publicly on my door is libel. It says “unauthorized occupant AND smoking marijuana in the unit AND unlawful activity” which was hearsay….then they gave us issues for him passing the scorecard because he has never had his own place before. They were getting upset there was not a previous landlord they could talk to that was not a family member. Then they sent out the new lease, we signed on the 1st, he has moved ALL his belongings in and today they cancelled saying pending police reports of the whole building….which her friend, my ex, who does not even reside here, called in himself not just on me but a single woman upstairs he had been seeing. Who also has children and does not know what to do. And that tenants were going to be asked to vacate. They did not explain until after I had gotten the email of the cancellation and asked. They show up any time they want and walk through the house because they say they can. They say they do not owe the money back. That they never signed their half so it was not valid. All of their ledgers were for different amounts when I was using rental relief. They could not show where the money had gone when there was an unpaid balance in January, and this just happened again as well. I just paid a small out of pocket owed amount again, when my rent in full was paid through the agency. Please help.Business response

Unfortunately, ***** was not home when the noise complaints happened, it was her boyfriend and his friends. That is how we found out he was living there and not on the lease. We had fill out an application and he passed but the day we sent the lease out we found out he was caught by the police with marijuana. Our attorney looked up court records and found the boyfriend was charged with possession. We canceled the lease adding the boyfriend. Our lawyer told us it was best to let her out of her lease and have her sign a settlement agreement so she could move out and end the lease early without penalties. But in return she was to not to discuss her time as a tenant with anyone or make complaints.
