      We went to cafe zupas on 2/2/24. We put in a mobile order, which gave us a promise time of 6:01. Once we got to the location we went thru the drive thru, which you’re directed to do to pick up mobile orders. We got there just after 6, but made it to the window at 6:30 as the drive through was so slow (only about 5 or 6 cars in front of us). Once we got to the window, the employee couldn’t find our order and was trying to find it by looking up the order total (very odd way of doing that). Once they found our order, they let us know it wasn’t ready, and it wasn’t even started yet. We asked for an eta, since it should have been ready 30 minutes ago, and they couldn’t give us one. I pushed again for an eta -will we be waiting 20 minutes? An hour? -all I got was “I have no idea, it will be a very long time”. As I wasn’t okay waiting an indefinite amount of time, we requested a refund. This request brought another employee over, who was instantly rude to us. They claimed they couldn’t issue the refund right now because the manager was busy, but that the manager would get to it tonight. We didn’t get confirmation from the manager on this -who knows if there was even a manager around. Not being able to have my food ready and not being able to give me a refund is unacceptable, but on top of that the employees being rude is beyond me. I’m hoping we see the refund come through today, but I’m not holding my breath. One thing that also annoyed me was they served walk ins right away, disregarding the fact there was a whole line of mobile orders that had been waiting upwards of an hour or more. How is that okay?? At a minimum this location needs to fix its promise time as to not mislead customers and make them wait hours to receive their meals. (See their google reviews, I’m not the only one this has happened to! Wish I would have known before and I wouldn’t have gone.)

      On December 6, 2023, I attended the grand opening of a Cafe Zupas location in Meridian, Idaho located on Ten Mile Road. Cafe Zupas advertised on Facebook that they were hosting the grand opening & that the first 100 guests in line would receive a month of free Cafe Zupas. I was one of the first 100 guests & learned that they would be giving us reward points in our reward app account for Cafe Zupas to pay for the free month of Cafe Zupas, only the number of points they provided (8000) was only equal to a couple of meals at best. I emailed the corporate office & their response was that the free month of food they advertised was actually only 4 free meals. Not matching what they advertised on Facebook at all. I responded to them with screenshots of the advertisement they posted to Facebook; along with screenshots of another grand opening for an Arizona location that they were adverting the same offer that was occurring the first week of Jan 2024. I have not received any response & that was Dec 23rd. I am accusing them of false advertising & false promotion. One month of Cafe Zupas food is one meal a day at the least, 30 free meals. I want my one month of free food.

      10/3/2023 I ordered on the Cafe Zupas online ordering system, directly with Cafe Zupas. I created my profile and only had my business address of *** * **** **** ** *** *** Sandy, UT 84070 listed as a delivery option. I choose all my entrees and food, for our entire leadership team, paid for and ordered my lunch with a delivery for noon. At 15 to noon on 10/3/23 I received texts from a doordasher that they were picking up my order. At noon the dasher said they delivered our order to *** * ********. This is not the address I put on my profile or order, and have no idea where this came from? Maybe some sort of address logic that it tries to match? I then tried to call the store, and then was referred to a CS line, and they in turn tried to call the store, and this cycle continued for 4 more calls. Never was able to get a hold of a manager to help me get a refund.

      I placed an online order that was to be a split order. The order failed although I was still charged. I made 2 attempts which effectively charged my card ending in **** twice in the amount of $28.61 each time resulting in a $57.22 loss and no order received. I have called the business multiple times as the local store stated to call this location for a refund. After 2 voicemails and 3 emails in 6 days, no one is returning my attempts at communicating the issue to them.

      I went to your location located on 5600 w in west valley city Utah to pick up an order I made online. I demand a refund because your manager gave me the wrong food that wasn’t my order along with having to wait over 30 mins and being ignored. The manager here is horrible it was a lady with a hat. She was doing nothing to help any customers who had online orders and ignored me when I asked her for help. She was more focused on a stupid catering order than to help a customer that’s right in front of her. This is the worst experience I’ve had and I’ve been coming to this location since it opened. I wasn’t the only one that was complaining everyone else was pissed because she had no communication and her poor employees were working their hearts out with no direction on what to focus on. They looked like chickens with their heads cut off. Horrible manager. She needs better training for what to do when it get busy and how to effectively manage her employees when a rush comes in. Also ignoring a customer is not a solution and then giving me the wrong food is just ridiculous. Do better

      My husband and I went to zuppas on saturday the 27th of August to order a cheesecake when we moved forward to pick up the food the girl told us that we were charged twice and she couldn't fixed and called the manager in charge and after almost 7 minutes he told us that our money will be in our account in few minutes, after few hours I called the manager and told me that by the end of the night it will be in my account I also told him that they didn't give us the receipt and told me that couldnt because the yneed it to give us the refund. I waited till monday and the money still not there, I tried once again to call today and I ask to speak with the manager and the put me on hold for 10 minutes and finally I hung up and call back and the person told me the manager wasn't in till 2 pm. I have tried to fix already 3 times this problem.

      On July 26th I ordered the Cobb salad from Cafe Zupas in Riverton, Utah. While eating at home I bit into something extremely hard that chipped my tooth. I found a small screw in my mouth! I called the store and they seemed unconcerned. The most most they were willing to do was give me a refund or remake my salad. I asked for a phone number for a district manager and was told they didn't have one. I still have a chipped tooth and the screw.
