    My experience at A&D Psychotherapy's Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) was disappointing. I chose the program based on assurances that it included Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical **************** (DBT) skills, individualized treatment plans, and structured tools for recovery. Unfortunately, after three weeks, none of these elements were present.Sessions felt more like casual group conversations than professional therapy. The evening IOP counselor often allowed discussions to center around blaming others or family members, without encouraging clients to hold themselves accountable. Nor did the counselor try to redirect the conversation to meaningful therapy.I raised my concerns with one of the owners, who said they would speak with the counselor to address time managment and following the services they are supposed to offer. But the next 2 sessions (6 hours) continued in the same unstructured manner. I then addressed the issue directly with the counselor, explaining that I had paid for structured therapy and skills--not informal discussion. Shortly after, I received a text saying I was no longer welcome in the program, which felt retaliatory and ************* my experience, A&D Psychotherapy did not deliver the services they advertise. If you're looking for a program focused on accountability, structure, and evidence-based recovery tools, I would urge caution before enrolling.
