Revising the original review I initially called one stop thinking that a fuse had blown. When ********* got here I asked him if the control board had a fuse and I was told that it did not. He proceeded to boriscope the heat exchanger told me it was cracked and that a new furnace and air conditioner were warranted for the cost of $15,000. ********* called the landlord telling him that he needed a new furnace and air conditioner. The landlord called and was upset with me that I didn't call him first so he sent out his HVAC ************** guy comes out and says " Where's the fuse?" I respond with what do you mean fuse? I was told there wasn't a fuse for the control board when I asked. He said yeah there is supposed to be one right here. He puts in a 3 amp fuse and the furnace fires right up. Well what ********* doesn't know is I had tried to locate whether there was a fuse or not and I had taken videos the night before. I missed it because it was behind some wires and right beneath a large part. Knowing where the fuse was located I went and looked at the video. Sure as heck in my video there's a 3 amp purple fuse that was there the night before. It obviously got removed by Christian so he could try to upsell the homeowner into a new system. Super shady and super unethical. I would never deal with this company again. Homeowner and I are considering reporting them to the contractor licensing board, Better Business Bureau and Consumer Protection. I wonder how many other people have been scammed like this before?I forgot to mention like somebody else did that by law ********* had to turn the gas valve off. I totally agree that it's a scare tactic.I called to complain and spoke with **** who told me that the sales manager impossibly ********* would be giving me a call but I never got a call. Obviously not one they would want to make.

Wow, was wondering if I was the only one with a bad experience with this company. Then I look at their reviews on the Better Business Bureau - three reviews and they are all rated the lowest rating - one star. Mine is the same. On Dec 4th, 2024 my furnace went out. I had a contract with this company to come out in the Spring to inspect my cooling system and in the Fall to inspect my heating system, so thought I'd call them. They said sure, we'll get someone out right away and since you have an agreement with us there won't be a service fee. So their guy gets here, looks at the furnace, and in one minute determines it is the thermostat. He runs to pick it up (half an hour), installs it (half an hour) and it works. One hour total. Great! Then he tells me these thermostats are WAY EXPENSIVE! He mentions more than $1400. For a thermostat? I think this is way overpriced. So I quickly look up the item on Amazon. I find the exact one, same model number, for $639, and I even mention that to the installer. He proceeds to call the owner of the company and I hear them discuss that maybe the price should be $1650 instead and they charge me that. I called a local parts store and they quote me $984 - so obviously One Stop can buy it even less than that with their supplier relationships, more like the Amazon price. So I have a conversation with the owner and he tells me I got a great deal, he should have charged me double that! He had no remorse at all and his final words to me were: "WELL, WE'VE GOT TO KEEP THE LIGHTS ON!" My fellow consumers: If you ever need a thermostat for your furnace - look locally or on Amazon, don't buy it from this company! Needless to say, I cancelled my contract with ONE STOP HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING IN SANDY, UTAH!

Omg, where do I start, ok called them for an appointment, **** came out. I told him I was looking for a/c and a furnace deal I saw in Home Mag, 12 mos. interest free. He checked my furnace, said he would send an estimate, well that weekend he showed up at my home with a plant, him and his wife. I was going thru depression after losing my husband. So, with this little gift, I decided to go with him because of this kind gesture which now I believe was just a con working on my emotions and so I decided to go with his company (One Stop). I told him I would like to give a deposit; NEVER said I would pay for this cash! This start bad from the beginning, he was going to update my electrical box, ok that didn't happen, said he never said it, ok then his guys disregarded my request of not to go over on the one side of the basement because of all the personal belongings of my deceased family members. Well, they did, and things got broken, and more. ****, I had to call to come over, never saw him after he picked up the check, which I should have cancelled this deal, was bad anyway now after unprofessional business follow up, they are demanding cash because they never did the credit check, now wants to finance me for 3 months instead of 12 months. Now being in business didn't you need to do the paperwork before calling me over and over to install but didn't do a credit check FIRST? which if they had done the necessary paperwork, I could have avoided this trap, would have found out that I didn't qualify for the credit because I have too much credit, so then they wanted me to get a co-******, **** couldn't do that have no one, husband and son both dead, (killed). I offered to end this nightmare with a $6000. pay out, this is their stupid fault not mine, I want to be done with them! No, they rejected. This is now creating a financial burden on me because of **** dropping the ball on doing his job, I was willing to cash in my cd, mess with my retirement to end this. Bad Biz tactic

On 7/16/23, the hottest day of the summer, my a/c stopped blowing cold air. The next day I started calling around to get help ASAP. My wife works from home and couldn't stand working all day in a hot house. The only company I could find that would come out was One Stop Heating and Air. Jeff, the owner, came out and check the outside unit and said that it was the condenser. And that would be a$4k fix if they could find the part. I asked specifically about the capacitor as that had gone out before. Jeff said that tested good. He recomended to replace the entire outside unit, a $8k fix. We went inside to look at the a/c unit and Jeff said our 12 yr old a/c unit wasn't completley compatible with the new outside unit. $4k more and they could replace the a/c but might just as well replace the furnace and get the rebate we're at $15k. "But we have 12 month 0% refinance". And just so happens they could install the system the next day. So we agree, but were sick about it. But what else could we do? The next day at work I asked the HVAC tec what he thought. I described the symptoms and he said it sounded like the capacitor had gone out. He agreed to come look at it for me. So I postponed the install and left my poor wife in a hot house. My friend first thing checked the capacitor and sure enough it was bad. He replaced it and the a/c started right up. Less than $100 for his time and part, it was fixed. I called Jeff and told him and he stuck with his story that the condencer tested bad and couldn't explain what happened. He quickly mailed back my deposit check and canceled the finance. If you use One Stop Heating and Air, get a second opinion.

******** * Horrible experience. I bought a pretty expensive furnace from them back in March of this year. When the first snow storm hit the dash board broke down, contact them and so far nobody is giving me an answer on when they are gonna be able to fix it. They are lying to me, don't communicate between them. Are not professional nor they provide a good customer service. I will not recommend them at all.
