I typically refrain from posting negative reviews, as I understand the challenges of running a small business and believe in supporting fellow small business owners. However, after my experience with IT Geeks, I feel compelled to share my experience in that it might spare others from the difficulties my company endured. We hired IT Geeks to develop our website and under the agreement it would be 100% functional within three months of contract signing. However, nearly three years later, we were left without a website and out of pocket $14,000. Throughout this time, we received repeated assurances and new timelines for completion, none of which were upheld by IT Geeks. The entire process caused us immense stress, and for the sake of preserving our mental health, we finally chose to sever ties with IT Geeks. Unfortunately, the company refused to refund any money, ******* chose not to get involved, and the monetary amount too small for law firms to want pursue judgement of the contract. Logistical constraints we are in the **, IT Geeks left the ** to go to ******, and the work behind the scenes occurs in ******** additional concern is the way they handle reviews. About two months into the contract, when communication was still frequent and the project appeared on track, IT Geeks asked us to leave a five-star review. Believing that this gesture might further motivate them, we complied. Looking back, it seems possible that this is a common request they make to all clients, early in the process when optimism is still high. If so, their five-star ratings may not reliably reflect the true quality of service they deliver.I hope this review serves as a caution for others considering working with IT Geeks. Proceed with diligence and make sure you have strong safeguards in place to protect your investment.
