I received a solicitation for supplemental medicare insurance for my brother who is mentally and physically incapacitated residing in an assisted living center. The solicitation is very misleading in my opinion and an unsuspecting senior citizen receiving this inquiry could easily be duped into buying insurance they don't need. The solicitation arrived in an official looking envelope stating "Rush Open Immediately Reply Requested." There are advisories that state my brother could be eligible for no co pays, pay little or no out of pocket for care and pre existing conditions may be OK. They advise calling their number and speaking with a representative to insure the caller receives the best plan at low cost. At the bottom of the page they show the fine print that this group has no Government Affiliation and the solicitation is for insurance. The fine print adds, the representatives of this solicitation are not licensed insurance agents. The company is located at **** * ****** **** ****, SLC, Utah 84119 under the name Consolidated Direct Mail. This sort of misleading garbage could cost unsuspecting seniors financially. This company is attempting to make themselves appear as a representatives of US Government Medicare and sanctioned by the government. With all due respect, The BBB or Congress should stop this nonsense. Thank you for your attention.
