Saw an ad on Facebook for The Mediterranean Refresh: Under 30 Minutes
April 12, 2025
Amounts: $9.95 and $49.00
Once I added my credit card information other books to purchase populated. I was unable to deselect the item for $49.00. Since I was unable to deselect the additional item, I left the page without completing the order. Then a notice flashed on my screen that the order was declined by my bank. I thought I was in the clear; however, I then found both charges on my card. I called my bank and filed a dispute. The bank informed me that they were adding additional items beyond what I was aware of thus the decline beyond the 2 items. I instantly emailed the company by replying to their email stating my concern and requested a full refund which they denied. I continued to request a refund but they say I only paid shipping fees and don't refund shipping fees. I was told I was sent to their legal department. I have since found a FB group alerting others of this SCAM ***********************************************/ (The Mediterranean Refresh Scam. the bank said they provided documentation that I made the purchase. I have again emailed the company letting them know that I would be reporting them. This company is a problem and has deceitfully set up system to SCAM consumers.Business Response

Hi *****, We are very sorry that you did not have a perfect experience with us. As per our continued conversation through email. Your order was delivered to you exactly how it was placed. Your physical books were delivered to you at the registered credit card address and your eBooks were delivered to the email you provided to us when you placed your order. This order was placed from and authorized from IP address: ************ which is registered to your name and device. 2 weeks after you placed your order, you disputed the $49 eBook bundle with your bank under dispute category "product not received", we then proceeded to work with your bank to proof A. That you indeed placed this order, and B. Accessed and downloaded these books multiples times across multiple devices. We provided these logs and facts to your bank. Here they are again for your reference:

We are extremely confused with your complaint as you are saying that you did not order this, (to which is factually false and we have provided the logs to prove this) and yet you then went to your bank and disputed it as "Product Not Received"
Why are you telling your bank you did not receive your order but then filing a complaint saying you didn't order it in the first place?
If you did not order this product, (to which we have proven you did) then why did you download and access it multiple times?
As per our continued conversation with you through email, we are trying to support you with your order in accordance to our policies.
However, the fact remains that your physical book was delivered to you on April 24th as per USPS proof of delivery:
******************************************************************************************
And your eBooks as per the logs above.
In regards to your statment: "The bank informed me that they were adding additional items beyond what I was aware of thus the decline beyond the 2 items." we feel its important to highlight that we CAN NOT and DID NOT add products to your order. All purchases were placed from IP Address: ************ and we provided proof of this to your bank. If your bank declined a charge, that is on your banks end and we have no control over this fact.Initial Complaint

Hi *****, we are very sorry to hear that you did not have a perfect experience with us. As per our continued communication with you. As per the tracking info that you were provided, the **** has provided us BOTH with proof of delivery for your order. As we mentioned, if your order was not delivered even though they provided us BOTH with proof of delivery, you will need to file a claim with the ****. We shipped, and delivered your order to the registered credit card address and have provided proof as such. We recommend and encourage you to contact the **** and file a claim. This is the only thing that can be done as THEY HAVE PROVIDED US BOTH with proof of delivery. Please proceed to file a claim with them and let us know if there is anything else we can be of support with. Thanks so much,Initial Complaint

On January 26 I ordered a book through an ad by Peapil Publishing online. During the checkout phase of my purchase, they offered a couple of different ebooks at a one-time heavily discounted price. I opted for these options at the heavily discounted price of pennies on the dollar. When I received my confirmation I had been charged for the full price of these ebooks. Within minutes I contacted them with the issue and asked that they cancel the order as they overcharged me. I never opened the links to the ebooks (which they have a way to know based on their response to other complaints on here). They refused a refund (except for the original book purchase) and offered a store credit for what they overcharged. This is not an acceptable resolution to overcharging a customer. I am requesting a full refund as I want nothing from this company now that they have treated me this poorly.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Of NOTE: It was discovered that the hired care-giver for my husband used my information and placed this without my knowledge - taking it upon themselves to 'do what was best for my husband'.
