BBB’s Code of Advertising requires If an advertiser uses phrases such as “satisfaction guarantee” or “money back guarantee’ thebusiness should give a full refund if the consumer is not satisfied. If these phrases are used and afull refund will not be given, the claim should be qualified and the limitations should be clearlyand conspicuously disclosed. The business should not use an asterisk and in effect try to changethe meaning of its claim in a fine print explanation.
