On June 21, 2023 I stayed overnight at the Sleep Inn in Provo, UT on my to Eastern Oregon from Central Arizona. I reserved a room the night before my travels began through **********. Like most hotel's after the COVID lockdowns, this Sleep Inn is obviously struggling. My room (#***) likely hadn't been swept, mopped, vacuumed, or scrubbed for a couple of weeks. The carpet and tile had dust, dirt, lent, rubbish, pet hair, and pet food on it. The tile grout in the bathroom likely hasn't been scrubbed in the last 5-10 years because it was very discolored in high traffic areas. There was what looked like dried saliva on the bathroom wall. The toilet constantly ran and kept me up most of the night. I had to clean the shower with a hand towel, water, and shampoo before using it because there was human hair and body oils in it. The only saving grace of my stay was the bed linens, towels, and counter tops were clean. The coffeemaker had mold in the filter/ground reservoir. There were also several areas that were heavily damaged and in need of repair. The whole inside of the hotel appears to be overdue for a deep cleaning and repairs. The pictures and reviews shown on ********** did not line up with the overall condition of the hotel. Sleep Inn Provo may be misleading and distracting people from the poor cleanliness and disrepair of the hotel to charge more than its present value. All I'm asking from them is they refund the $115.35 room rate I was charged due to their dishonesty, and update the listing information on third party listing. ********** can not refund room rates as stated in their company refund policy. They can only refund taxes and services fees.
