              We ordered carports from ********************* around March. We asked if we needed to get building permits. His reply was, "no." Everything will be taken care of. The carports were delivered the last week of September 26, 2021. We have a 7 foot high and 12 foot high carport. They completed the 7 foot carport and had the frame work done on the 12 foot. Then Carbon County issued a stop work order because we didn't have a permit. We figured we would get a permit. The engineer stated that the carports were not up to code for this area. They are not wind and snow qualified. With ordering the engineered plans, getting permits, and extra material and work, we are already into this an extra ***** and may be more before we are done. Are 12 foot car port has to have double the anchors 4 more anchors. That is an extra $3,000 and another $***** for them to come back down. That is not including the cost of building permits and building specs we had to order. If you sell in this area, know it.
