Payment methods

We encourage all of our travelers to pay by way of bank transfer through our secure and online invoicing system (ACH transaction or eCheck).  This method along with payment by check (via snail mail) do not incur any additional costs or fees. 



We also accept all major credit cards and PayPal.  The payments are accepted with special arrangements based on the individual client's situation.  You will be able to use these options in our online invoicing system. 

Refund and Exchange Policy

Costa Rica Escapes recommends that our travelers purchase travel insurance to protect their investment.  Having a policy like this can make a complicated situation, like a last-minute cancellation, very simple. We've dealt with many situations where our travelers have to cancel and due to an insurance policy, they received a refund.  We can make recommendations for travel insurance policies. 

We handle each cancellation policy on a case-by-case basis.  Our "official" umbrella-cancellation policy indicates that within 35 days, your trip is non-refundable; however, there is much more that goes into this when the rare case of a cancellation presents itself.  

Costa Rica Escapes is a small travel organization, and we understand that if someone if having to cancel a trip to Costa Rica it is usually not for a good or happy reason.  Our philosophy is not to make an already bad situation worse; therefore, we do every thing possible to get your money back in order to refund (or credit) it back to you.  

In the case that you have to cancel your trip, we ask that you inform us right away.  The more time that we have to recover funds and deposits, the better our chances. Costa Rica Escapes has well-established relationships with the providers that we partner with; therefore, more often than not our partners understand these unique cases and are willing to work with us in providing refunds or credits.  In turn, we provide this to you.  In the very rare case that a deposit or refund can't be given, funds are lost; however, we are almost always able to get at least a note of credit to use at a future date.
