      Unpursuable:
BBB is unable to locate the business.
There is no actualy contact phone number or email address to contact these people.
All numbers are either disconnected or scams numbers.
      No functioning email addresses.
The site is FULL of SCAMMERS and they do not seem to have any firewall or protections for the people on the site.
The alleged owner ***** ******** is collecting money from people and they have no remedy to contact them with issues.
This far, I have found more than 30 advertisements that were clearly scams and easy finds so its clear, Mr. ******** or whoever is taking in the money has no security and people will lose a lot of money.
If they are going to be that irresponsible, I'll contact the appropriate consumer protection agency to attempt to get an investigation started,
It they won't protect their clients, someone has to.

      Business Response

      Date: 08/12/2025

This complaint misrepresents both our business practices and the events in question. The customer’s account was disabled because the information provided at registration (Vermont address) did not match the information tied to their credit card. This is not a “minor” discrepancy — it is one of the strongest red flags for stolen or unauthorized payment methods. Ignoring this would be irresponsible and would directly expose our customers to fraud.
As for the “no contact” claim — false. We maintain a secure, fully functional online support system that responds to all legitimate inquiries. We do not publish direct personal emails or run an open phone line for general calls because that approach invites spam, scams, and harassment. The correct contact channels are clearly listed on our website and work exactly as intended.
The statement that the site is “full of scammers” is exaggerated and unfounded. Like every large online marketplace, we occasionally have to deal with bad actors. The difference is that we actively find and remove them — a process that works precisely because of the same fraud-prevention tools that flagged this customer’s account. The suggestion that we “have no protections” is simply untrue.
      To be clear:
The account was disabled due to a mismatch between account and payment details — a known fraud indicator.
We provide working, documented support channels.
We take proactive action against fraudulent listings.
If the complainant wishes to resolve their situation, they are welcome to contact us through our official support system and provide verifiable account and payment information. That is how we protect both our customers and our business.

I am rejecting this response because:

If what this company is saying is true, why is it that they offer no working phone numbers to speak to a member of their team (BBB can prove this by trying their given phone numbers) not do they have email.

This has nothing to do with me, personally, I have found seven fraudulent advertisements on their site and only wished to share the information,

Likewise, there are a myriad of consumer websites warning people to beware of doing business on Gun Auction because of the lack of maintenance of the site and because contact in not possible.

Here is just one of the complaints: Jul 12, 2014 · Gun Auction grabs it's commission even though sale is cancelled and doesn't return it the money back to the seller. I have relisted the items and still they keep the money claiming it will …

Heres another from a Scam Detection site - ************** Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives ************** a medium trust score on the platform: 58.2. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Active. Medium-Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 58.2 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to **************'s industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Active. Medium-Risk. tags above. Long story short, we still see some red flags with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

      Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
      Proximity to Suspicious Websites
      Threat Profile
      Phishing Profile
      Malware Score
      Spam Score
      Domain Blacklist Status
      HTTPS connection
      Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning **************, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

      Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between ************** and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of **************. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of **************, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. ************** is a problematic website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

And another from Complaints Board - Our conclusion: After a detailed review, ComplaintsBoard finds ************** to be a trustworthy company. Although there's a 0% resolution rate for customer complaints, which deserves …
      Brand: **************

I can list pages of similar opinons, angry users but at the end of the day, any business that takes money for a service but has no legitimate method for consumers to contact them is already skating on thin ice and should the consumer protection agencies from that state and the Federal Government look into it, it could mean a lot of trouble for the issues.

In my opinion, all they have to do is list at least two customer service phone numbers that actually work AND a working email.

I was was trying to do them a favor by reporting fraud ads I found on the site and I couldn't because you can't contact anyone.

As far as I'm concerned, they can continue the way they have been, eventually, a customer is going to get scammed out of a huge sum of money and being the type of business it is, local, state and federal government entities like the ATF will get involved.

I do not require an answer as this will eventually take care of itself. Suffice it to say, you could have your customers help you with site security if they had a way to let you know.

To BBB, why don't you have one of your representatives try the numbers listed on the website and see what happens. I already know what you'll find out.

      Sincerely,

      ***** *****
