  We have a **** square foot home. Their representative came to see us. My husband asked THREE times if they were sure the panels they were going to install would be adequate. He was assured, that it was plenty. When they came to install them, once again he asked about the adequacy and again was told, Yes. We have had them for over a year and despite keeping our home on an energy saving setting, washing all laundry in cold water, running the dishwasher on economy mode, using all energy efficient lighting and doing EVERYTHING we can, still receive large energy bills. The representative told us that after a few months, wed never receive another energy bill or when we did, it would be small. Our home is 6 years old, so the windows are sealed well. It took many many months to get someone to contact us about our issues and when we finally were, they offered to sell us MORE panels and were told thats all they would do. My husband called up ************************* and was told, that this isnt an uncommon phone call to receive about ION Solar. We are in the process of converting our home to wood heat to help mitigate the cost of these expensive worthless panels. So disgusted with this company.

  Do not choose this company!My sales rep was ****, and he came to my house in July 2022 to introduce Ion Solar as a full-service company and the benefits of solar. He pointed to one of my utility bills and stated the Energy Charge and Fuel Charge would show $0, and the only thing for which I had to be responsible was the tax, which Ion Solar could not void. In addition, he promised me that my utility bill would be less than $5 (tax) after my solar panels were activated. Unfortunately, my utility bill was much higher than his promise. I had been paying $70 to $85 every month to the utility company since the solar was activated. Compared to what my sales rep promised me, I had been paying $65 to $80 more every month. I had been calling the Ion Solar customer experience team, and I had spoken with many people, such as ****, ******, and *******. **** told me that his manager would take care of me if I could provide evidence about what my sales representative promised on my utility bill. I emailed my evidence to them long time ago, but no one could really solve my issue. The most ironic thing was that everyone kept repeating that the solar system produced 100% of its estimated output, which I had never questioned.Overall, I am so disappointed in the companys ability to solve problems. The salesperson represents Ion Solar, not me. So, Ion Solar should have been fully responsible for their employees. However, I have been fully responsible for his unprofessional behavior. The issue was that my utility company charged me a higher rate and credited me with a lower rate, but the root of this issue was my sales representative's overpromising, which caused this problem because he overpromised me the $5 on my utility bill that gave a good value for installing solar. It's immoral behavior to utilize such an unprofessional resort as cheating consumers to meet their sales goals. Be aware! Avoiding ion solar is an intelligent decision if you are deciding to install solar!

  This company came to possibly gain my business. I have asked some questions regarding the 30 years warranty and what would happen if a panel or a bunch of panels fail after 25+ years and the manufacturer does not produce these panels anymore as they would be obsolete technology by then, what would the warranty cover. They couldn't answer the question properly but instead said "honestly speaking if something like that happens, then it's best if you wait for a hurricane or thunderstorm to cause some damage to the roof and let the insurance pay for a new solar system." In other words they are basically telling me that I'll be screwed if the system doesn't work anymore. They refused to provide me the quote to think about it but instead kept pushing me to sign up for it right away. The rep said that he couldn't guarantee the price as soon he walks out of the door. The rep said they provide "price match guarantee" and of course they want proof, so when I said "since you are not providing the quote in writing to me, why do you think you can ask for some other company to provide a written quote?" he literally had nothing else to say, other than insisting that they are the best company and I should sign up with them.A piece of advice: Whoever forces you to sign up for something right there right then, don't do it. They are hiding something and you'll find out the hard way. Stay away from them.

  If I could give this company -stars I would. I would start by saying they lie from the beginning. They sell you a beautiful picture till they put the panels up which by the way they rush you. To then no communication at all, the Sale rep which he calls himself the manager ******* will not answer any of the phone calls, and if we contact **** no answer either. The panel are up and failed inspection now we are pending god knows what now since no ones have the decency to update us, the worst part is how the financing department works which is absurd that you would start charging a customer for panels that havent passed inspection and service is not even functional. So yep our automated payment starts in January with no idea when panels will be working and we were promised 3 months of service before we started payments. So here we are stuck with a no-answer company gosht and no service. STAY AWAY FROM *** WORST MISTAKE EVER!!!!!! I already posted on our neighborhood ******** page since is currently been built to not do business with them! ***********, ** This has been the biggest mistake and regret of my life. I wish I could rip them off to get away from this piece of S**** business if you can call them that.

  Our experience with Ion Solar has been horrendous. 1. They make promises at the initial consultation they do not keep. ie you don't start making payments until your system is up and running, which is not true.2. When the solar power was switched on, the inverters were not set up correctly and some of our sockets began blowing fuses when devices were plugged in. It cost us $1,000 of our own money to pay for an electrician to fix this. Ion Solar was uninterested in fixing the problem when it arose and remain uninterested in the fact we had to spend our own money to fix the issue.3. We reported critter guard coming loose weeks ago. 4. We were promised a ****** Nest and LED bulbs. They've never arrived, despite multiple requests.5. Texts are not answered.6. Voicemails are not returned.7. **************** bounces you from person to person instead of actually providing customer service 7. I could go on and on.......

  They rip people off. I changed my mind and didnt want to use them and came out charging me **** for cancelling when they didnt even do any work. what a scam of a company if they have to do this imagine getting the panels install and the problems youll have in the future. ***** will come to them it always does

  After signing a contract with ION Solar. My wife and I decided that we no longer thought it was economical for us to go ahead with the install. I made an attempt to contact the service rep who sold us the contract several times after calling the company and requesting a cancellation, I was informed that it a cancellation rate would get back to me. Needless to say, I have called in three times requesting a cancellation and have still not heard back from the cancellation rep. I am concerned that the company is stalling so that they could charge us the $1200 cancellation fee when only a contractor came out to do a site survey. We were informed several times by the representative that we could cancel any time.

  Despite having a No Soliciting sign clearly posted on our door, salespeople continue to ring our doorbell while wearing the company logo. If the company cant hire respectful sales force, or at the very least - smart individuals, why would I want to do business with them? This same company has worked our neighborhood the prior year, and when we told them we dont entertain solicitors, they got confrontational and said its not solicitation if Im trying to save you money! This time around, I figured it was worth adding my complaint here- maybe one day this company will get the point.

  Solar was installed in 2019 from the get go was done extremely poorly, electrical fire, roof leaks ,wrong parts used, roof damage dishonest employees, won't generate enough power to cover the cost of the system, part failure. I would never have Solar installed or buy a home with it especially if Ion solar did the work.

  The onboarding process was longer than promised. Our panels were not working when our first payment was due. The inspection failed due to how they wired into our electrical panel from the top, stating that over time condensation would drip down the box and our whole panel would have to be replaced. Our first bill was amazing. $24 for power!! It has progressively gone up. We are under $100 of savings over the last two months. Ive contacted our rep and sent screenshots of our usage. Ive received no reply. My Husband was able to get through to the office and the lady told him that they are severely understaffed and that ****** would be her last day. She put an emergency ticket in, but still nothing. The sad part is that I pushed my husband into solar because I saw the savings my grandpa got with his panels in **********.
