PLEASE please listen to me, DO NOT GO HERE. I cannot stress this enough! Im not saying to not get help, in fact please do, but not from here. Everything Im about to say isnt an exaggeration. I have PTSD from this place and I was only there a week! I have nightmares and panic attacks even a year later. They restricted most people from going outside with any valid reason, some they had a valid reason for but for most they didnt. I didnt feel the sun on my skin or breathe fresh air for a whole week. You wont be allowed to leave. It is a prison. You can only get out by keeping your head down and saying nothing. You cannot contact your family or the outside world. IF by small chance they let you, they tell you not to say anything bad about it. They keep you exhausted with back to back activities, more than half of which have nothing to do with eating disorders. ACTUAL PRISONERS HAVE MORE RIGHTS than the people who attend inpatient. Which they recommended anyone to regardless of whether or not they actually need that level of care. They will tell you that youre in inpatient because of health problems, but they cannot give you an answer for what those health problems are. After talking to other patients, they were ALL recommended for inpatient regardless of what level of care they were at. If you do have any serious medical issues not related to eating disorders they will not allow you the things you need to manage them. They say that they dont punish you for not eating everything, but they force you to supplement anything you dont eat no matter how small even if its rotten fruit. If you dont, you spend 3 hrs in a room by yourself. If you refuse 3 times they force a feeding tube regardless of whether or not you actually need it. They control your water intake, and if what they give you isnt enough to hydrate you theyll give you a feeding tube. They will put you in danger. This is the stuff horror movies are made of.Review from Ashlee P.

PLEASE PLEASE do not send your children under the age of 18 to the inpatient program. Center for change is not a place that helps heal through kindness, love and learning. The environment is cold and not a happy. Most of the staff is not friendly and I did have the staff tell us misleading information so many times. We paid $21,000 plus a month for treatment for our daughter to go there and she came out with PTSD from being in there. The dining room is 3 long fold up metal table and metal folding chairs, just to give you an idea and the rooms had 1 desk and 2 beds. The beds had the cheapest mattress you can get on them and 1 flat pillow. If your child is vegetarian and they tell you that it will not be a problem, it is. My child could not move up any level because she didn't eat meat that was on her plate. We were told that they accommodate vegetarians and this was not the case. We were given a list of things that the kids needed to take in and were told they would have access to them and they didn't. They put her on so many medications, it was ridiculous. I have pages of notes that I took while she was in there that have all of the inconsistent information. I have talked to the staff about all of this and we didn't get any help. Please know what you are putting your children into before you leave them. We took my daughter out after 2 weeks. It would have been one week but we were both told that if she left at one week that they would not move her to the outpatient program and she could not get help there. I should have taken her out after 2 days and found another place to help her. There were a lot more problems but I don't even have the room to list. Please be careful with your kids.
