  Better Business Bureau believes in fostering honest advertising and self-regulation in the marketplace. We believe consumers should be able to accept advertisements at face value and use them as part of their buying decisions. We give high priority to truth in advertising and challenges based on guidelines, including the BBB Code of Advertising.

  On September 24, 2025, BBB requested that Emery Telcom substantiate, modify, or discontinue advertising claims which were made on various pages of their website: https://www.emerytelcom.com/#

  
  

  Objective Superlative Claims: 

  The business claims “#1 fastest business internet in Utah,” and “#1 fastest business fiber service in Utah”. According to the BBB Code of Advertising, superlative statements in advertisements about the tangible qualities and performance values of a product or service are objective claims for which the advertiser must possess substantiation as they can be based upon accepted standards or tests. As statements of fact, such claims, like "#1 in new car sales in the city," can be proved or disproved.

  
  

  Testimonials and Endorsements: 

  The business claims to receive an award for “Fastest Internet Speeds” in “BroadbandNow 2020” in the small provider category. According to the BBB Code of Advertising, advertisers should ensure that testimonials and endorsements are not misleading and represent the current opinion of the endorser. A consumer endorser's experience should reflect what users generally achieve, unless there is a clear and conspicuous disclosure of what the expected results will be.   Advertisers should not include claims in testimonials that they themselves cannot make and support.
