Joe told us he needed $1900 to reserve our turn to get fence installation, and we believed him as all the other fencing companies we had called had either not bothered to return our calls or has a waiting list of at least two months. We have worked with single-owner companies before and understood when he wanted half the money up front to (1) reserve our installation spot and (2) to buy our fencing material. We made the cashier's check out to the fencing supplier so we thought everything was on the up and up. However, Joe never returned to install our fence. At first we didn't worry as he always returned our text messages or calls, listing various reasons why the job kept getting postponed. He kept saying he would come in two weeks over and over again. Finally I insisted he give me a date of installation and he became a bit belligerent any have me a date about a month or so in the future. Two weeks before the specified date, I texted him to confirm; he never replied. I kept texting and leave numerous voice mails. He finally texted back, saying he couldn't do the fence install and he would return our money by the projected install date. We never heard from him again and his phone started going straight to voice mail without ringing at all. Right before this happened, I had left a voice message stating that if he was in a bind and was having problems, that we understood and we could work things out (it was during the height the Covid pandemic). Then his phone started going straight to voicemail and we never heard from him again. Shortly after I contacted another fencing company to get another quote, explaining what happened with Joe and the guy said, "Wait. What was the name of the company?" When the name Salt City Fence came up, he told me an elderly gentleman from Northern Utah had also given How more money than we did with the same results of no work done and no money back. DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY MONEY, He stold $1900 from us and more from someone else.

Update. About a month or so after posting my complaint, *** got in contact with me and reimbursed us our $1900. We were so grateful to get out money back!
