This company states that they were leaving their billing company back in May but its July and were still getting shady texts and final notices without any EOBs or dates of service. My mother didnt even GO to *** and she has this final notice! I finally ******* what to do if you get a shady bill from this company and they gave me a different number than the one on the bill and when I called it, my mother didnt even have an account with them! This is a scam! I am STILL on hold waiting for someone to pick up the phone 45 minutes later. ****!

*******, we are not the physicians that cover UVH. That is a different emergency physician group. Sorry for the confusion but we cover only the *************************************** departments for Intermountian. Please call me directly with any questions on my cell phone at ************.

Their billing method is sending out a text message that screams scam. Never received a physical bill from them. Just a shady looking text from a company name that isn't the hospital I visited saying that I owed them. It's 2025 and people get scam emails and texts weekly. Well now that they sent my account to collections I guess I can confirm its real.

There billing is horrible, paid my bill & was sent to collections. Kept getting texts saying that I still owed. Bank said check cleared, kept getting bothered so I called them, and gave them the info that I had from my bank about payment check number, date it was written & cashed by Utah emergency physicians. Hopefully it didn't ding my credit

My apologies. Because of similar complaints to yours, we are leaving our current billing company and hope to provide more reliable billing services in the future. We prioritize excellent patient care in our departments and now want to make sure our billing services match that as well.

They billed me through a 3rd party 'Papaya' via text messages with no billing details other than amount and hospital name, and I thought it was a scam, their website also reads like a phishing site. I found out this bill is accurate and for a doctor separate from the portion billed from intermountain. Please update your billing and security. This really needs to be done through intermountain's app or something similar.

My apologies *********. Utah Emergency Physicians is a separate company from ************* and we do our own billing apart from Intermountain. When you visit the ** at an ********************** where we work, you receive a facility bill from Intermountain for the facility fees, medication fees, nursing fees, etc. You will also receive a bill from Utah Emergency Physicians for the physician charge only. Our billing company was using the company "Papaya" to send text bills that were legitimate, but certainly didn't look very professional. We have told them this is unacceptable and they are changing their billing to be much easier to understand. My sincere apologies for the confusion.

We have had nothing but trouble with this company! I paid the bill online the day I received it. We keep getting notices that they are sending us into collections, even though the bill is paid. I have emailed them, and called them. Trying to get ahold of someone is almost impossible. Our daughter received a notice that they were sending her to collections on a bill that was from 2 years ago. They never billed her insurances (she was doubly covered) and are now saying it is her fault and are expecting her to pay for the whole thing. Intermountain Health emergency doctors need to find another company to do their billing. Utah Emergency Physicians is a nightmare! I would give them no stars if it were possible.

The worst customer service I have ever encountered! Calling them is impossible, cause they do not answer their phones. It's bad enough you have to deal with life threatening issues, then be victimized by Utah Emergency Physicians Billing!!! Horrible!
